We were there for Dickinson College commencement. The downtown area is walkable and has many good restaurants and shops. It's a small, interesting city. Loved Helena's for the crepes and coffee, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company for the beer and pub grub, and One13 Social for our celebration dinner. We also went to the Carlisle Sports Emporium and played both mini-golf courses. Both are good and a fun time. They have a great outdoor go kart track, large arcade, laser tag, and other activities that we did not try. Very short drive to some good hiking, including a section of the AT. Locals went out of their way to stop us from paying for parking because the meters are being replaced and you don't need to right now. No signage, so I appreciated the help!

The staff and building were awful.
The staff and building were awful. They couldn't find our reservation. Even with our confirmation number they couldn't find the reservation. It took 20 minutes. to find the manager who was MIA. As soon as the manager showed up suddenly our reservation appeared. The door to our room was so old and damaged it nearly fell off. The coffee machine in our room leaked. The breakfast was horrible. 15 minutes after they opened the breakfast they were out of coffee and eggs. The trash cans in the breakfast room were overflowing and there was no one manning the room. I had to go to the front desk and ask them to come attend the breakfast. A woman was able to find more coffee and eggs, but just walked past the trash. There is evidence of overlooked or differed maintenance everywhere. I will never stay there again or book a room through booking.com . This is the second time I've had problems with Booking.com

The home of the wonderful Dickinson College (the main reason we go so often). Charming Carlisle has enough shops, restaurants and pubs to fill a long weekend or a short stay en route to somewhere else. The large 3 story antique mall on Hanover street is worth a visit. If you like English Ales, craft beers and pub food try the Market Cross (also on Hanover). For history buffs the town is of some historical interest as being the site of the most northerly advance of the Confederate Army (1863) and the site of the Carlisle Indian School. Could serve as alternative place to stay if visiting Gettysburg PA. as its a short distance to Gettysburg ( apprx. 30 minutes), less touristy and close to the US Army College. Many car shows, parades and festivals scattered through the year. Fun, lively, little city.

While this motel was very basic accommodation, it was comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed, and was the best value for money I have had in years. The check in was also exceptionally friendly. All in all, a very good experience, and we plan on making this a regular stop on our trips.

It s a great stop over spot traveling through PA as the gas prices are cheaper than the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia areas. A lot of brewery themed restaurants. Easy to get anywhere as it is served by major interstate highways in every direction.

Historically Civil War with Dickinson College and beautiful old houses. The main drag, Hanover Street has great shops and boutiques and restaurants and pubs. There's even a bowling alley a little ways out of town. Very close to Gettysburg. It's a short drive of 3 hours from New York City and 3 hours from Pittsburgh PA.
I love the place ! Also decorated beautifully for Christmas.
The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The towels were good quality. The tissues were better than most hotels. The facility is long overdue for updates/remodeling. It was as clean as it could be. I was disappointed to get a smoking room. Where we come from, that is illegal. Blankets and spreads were riddled with cigarette burn holes. Plenty of hot water. Located close to the highway and was just fine for a one night bed and shower on our way to the destination.
We loved this hotel. My children were very happy with the little complimentary things that were offered, like apples and pretzels. During our stay the hotel always had some coffee and tea to grab and go. Breakfast was delicious with many different options available. The lady that served us during breakfast was extremely nice and meticulous. Our room was very clean and spacious. We will definitely stay again once in the area.
Place looked like brand new, beautiful car decoration on the walls very appropriate for Carlisle Car show guests! Automatic front doors welcome you: very pleasant when carrying luggage. Friendly manager and staff, they really do their best to make a stay as pleasant as possible. Proper well equipped big room suitable for a longer stay. Nice breakfast too.
Our "go to" place when in Carlisle (which is often). Location, location, location. Always clean and comfortable. Love that we have a mini fridge, microwave, 24 hr. lobby coffee and ice machine down the hall. Can spend time in the tavern downstairs and only need to ride an elevator to get home! Staff always courteous.
Breakfast was good.
The young lady at check in was very personable.
The lady setting up at breakfast was very sweet, she told me I didn't have to tip her when I handed her a couple of bucks.
The manager was very nice to me at check out.
The nicest hotel I've ever been in...
Highly recommend it.
The $800,000 worth of Corvettes in the parking lot when we showed up. It was the only hotel within miles for the Carlise event. The AC was ice cold....I will give them that. Other than that this place was horrible.
Nothing absolutely nothing this property is disgusting and not at all what was portrayed, stains everywhere whole hotel smells like smoke, stained mattresses and I wouldn’t even step foot into the bathroom
I didn’t wake up on time to get breakfast but to be honest this is that most beautiful place I had spend my time at and it doesn’t even look like a motel is more bigger then some hotel I have been too
