We loved our stay in this Chalet hotel. Julie, Margaux and the entire team were absolutely amazing and made our stay really comfortable and memorable.
We booked a whole chalet which was a great choice for a group of 5. The hotel has ski-in / ski-out access which makes it extremely fun and convenient.
The staff are really helpful and friendly and the overall customer service is exceptional!

The location was very good if you wanted to use La folie douce which closed at 7pm each evening we was then able to either take the cable car down or ski over to our hotel then walk the rest of the way.

On average, 3-star hotels in Arc 1800 cost € 171.44 per night, and 4-star hotels in Arc 1800 are € 301.69 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Arc 1800 can on average be found for € 205.44 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Arc 1800 has plenty of bars and places to eat. If you like a lively location then this is for you (but not noisy over night). I watched football in nearby busy sports bar in Villards and used the Sherpa supermarket and ski hire in Villards. Best to stock up with food in Bourg Saint Maurice if you can as it's cheaper than at Arc 1800.
It's a good location if you want to visit La Plagne as just one ski lift then downhill to the Vanoise express. Also on return just one ski lift up then ski back to Arc 1800.
If you want a quaint French style village then look at Arc 1950. Certainly worth visiting Arc 1950 for lunch.

We liked ….
We liked …. The amenities, shops, choice of restaurants, things to do for non skiers. Easy connection to other ski areas, well marked pistes for skiers of all levels.
We did not like the massive queue there and back on the main road between Bourg St Maurice and Moutiers. On our return it took us 3 hours to drive 20km on this valley road and would make us think twice about choosing Arc 1800 in future.

Great snow and huge choice of runs and lifts.
Great snow and huge choice of runs and lifts. Not that many green slopes, but heaps of blues and not too challenging. Some reds and very few blacks open.
Plenty of places to go during the day for food etc, but almost no night life at all - even for families. We only found one restaurant in Charmettoger, and luckily it was superb (amazing pizza also doing local Savoie food). Queues in the (only?) supermarket were often very long, so we ended up going to a tiny bijou artisan shop, and were grateful we had brought most of our food with us!
Parking was straightforward once we realised you had to get a ticket to enter the town, and there was space in the surface parks - luckily we didn't need a covered space as there weren't any.
The biggest problem for us was that the Satnav took us via Landry/Vallandry, which is only available through the forest in the summer - it's a ski run in the winter!! This involved a 1hr trip up to Vallandry in the middle of the night, then all the way down again when we realised we couldn't get through. If you are driving go via BOURG ST MAURICE!!!!

I visited the Hotel du Golf with my two daughters, aged 11 and 15, who were skiing for the first time. The hotel was superb! Everything was on site (accommodation, ski hire, ski storage and a choice of restaurants all with excellent food) or close at hand (lift passes, ski lifts, and ski schools). The nursery slopes (at the top of Villard) were small and hard to find, but there were plenty of other runs that took us all over the mountains. Sledging on Luge 1800 was great fun, too.
The staff are very helpful in person or on the phone but are very slow to respond to emails – if you can even find the email address! It’s very difficult to find contact details (email or phone number) as they are not on the website.
Finally, transfers need to be booked well in advance as there aren’t enough taxis to go around in peak periods. The train from Geneva to Bourg-St-Maurice, however, worked well.

Arc 1800 is perfectly located in the middle of the huge Paradiski resort. With just a few chair / cabin lifts you can reach Arc 2000 with its glacier or transfer to La Plagne for a total of 400km of varied pistes.
What we love about the area is the availability of fresh snow for snowboarding. We've spent two holidays there and have had an average of 3 to 4 powder days each.
The accommodation in direct proximity to the lifts is perfect. Arc 1800 offers an adequate amounts of shops and dining opportunities, but you can always take your car or the train downhill for even greater variety.
The food offers on the slopes can still be improved, but La Folie Douce stands out as a wonderful highlight of great design, good pricing and awesome music, including live performances of DJ's, singers and yes - even acrobats. Le Bonnet at Belle Plagne is another great location for juicy burgers and a cozy atmosphere while you wait for the falling snow to settle.
The scenery of the French Alps is of course jaw-dropping. The multitude of lifts and cabins get you above 3000m and lets you enjoy all kinds of on- and off-piste slopes, while gazing at the endless mountain chains.
The one thing that we found a bit confusing, is the new 3-tier Ski Pass system. The Basic pass does not offer access to all skiing areas, so we went for the Essential which also gives you discounts and priority lines. The latter were more often a miss than a hit, since when lifts are full the priority lines get crammed as well. Nonetheless the price range remains comparable to most resorts of this size.

The ski area is very good.
The ski area is very good. Good variety of slopes and stuff to do. But our accomodation we were not satisfied with, it didn't correspond to our booking we made... it was fairly pricy for what we got.
Everything in the village of Les Arcs is very accessible by road and parking was not cheap but not the biggest issue.
I liked the shower, it had a lot of power and the temperature was fantastic.
The location is really handy as it's next to one of the main lifts. The view onto the forest was charming as well, and I enjoyed that I could snowboard down through that forest straight to the front entrance of the hotel.
The apartment was clean, and the cooking facilities, although small, were easy to use. It is also well stocked with utensils.
Everything but food was amazing! Never had better food at any of the hotels we've stayed. There were loads of options, majority fish and seafood, so refined and cooked in a way that made justice to the reputation of French cuisine. Staff was really nice, pool is amazing and so are the rooms. We will definitely return.
Staff were fantastic and really helpful. The appartment was fantastically located and larger than we expected. It was well equipped. We also really enjoyed the pool and spa area. The hotel had an arrangement with the local Spar to have groceries delivered, and offered fresh pastries and bread for breakfast.
Odalys is an extraordinary place to stay. If you are going to les Arcs, do not hesitate to choose this hotel. The Hotel Rooms are great for family , they have all the required items for a great stay. The locker room for the skis and the attention by all the staff is amazing.
Great location with easy access to pedestrian ski lift that takes you a short distance to 1800 Les Arcs.
Really comfortable apartment (great beds, showers), black out curtains. Very dog friendly too. Easy to access outdoors for late night toilet visit (the dog not us)
Excellent apartment, very well equipped and comfortable. We had a wonderful skiing holiday here as a family of 5. The host Catherine was incredibly helpful and provided us with a lot of information and advice. We were very well looked after.
The modern style. Self catering facilities were comprehensive. Location to the skiing and shops etc excellent. Accommodation was clean and the sofa bed was comfortable.
The location of this hotel was great. It is ski in and ski out. The rooms were comfortable and had great views of the mountains. We also received a very kind upgrade.
