The house is very new (01/21), nicely furnished, 4 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Great living room with a comfortable couch and chairs and amazing views through the large glass front. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook nice meals and we had dinner while watching the sunset! Even on rainy days the view is amazing and you can wait comfortably until the weather gets better. The location was great for a visit to Haukland and Uttakleiv beaches (we hiked there and took the way back over the saddle next to the tunnel). Also the hike to Holandsmelen was fantastic ( great 360 views from up there ) and starts a couple hundred meters up the road.
We got a code to get into the apartment and the management was very responsive via the booking.com chat.
Probably the best apartement we ever stayed in!

Leknes is extremely convenient if it's the first time you're staying in Lofoten. There are plenty towns to visit within a 1.5 hour range of driving and if we had more time we would have ventured further. We only stayed for 4 nights but it was enough to visit a number of well known towns/villages like Henningsvær, Nusfjord, Å, Reine, and Svolvær.
It is a very small town but it has everything you need like a large grocery store, a fairly large mall, some great take away places like Pizza Bakeren, conveniently located charging stations for your electric vehicle, plus some hiking trails very close by which I think is the norm throughout Lofoten in general.
The airport was only 7 mins from where we stayed and it's also very easy to get to. The Lofoten Bakeri is a very popular cafe and bakery and has excellent coffee. I highly recommend Leknes as an entry point into Lofoten. Next time I will stay in Svolvær purely because it's a larger city with more connection points to activities etc, and because of it's proximity to popular places further north. You need minimum 2-3 weeks in Lofoten itself if you really want to experience it fully, but I would stay for months if time and finances allowed!

Leknes was easy to get around for groceries or drinks. We had a great meal at Digg.
Anita's in Reine is worth the trip for the fish sandwich!

I visited Lofoten Islands for a photo workshop.
I visited Lofoten Islands for a photo workshop. The scenery is outstanding. The photos workshop was very helpful for me. The Leknes airport was the smallest airport I have ever seen and there was only ONE taxi there. I ended up walking with my luggage for about an hour to a pizza joint and one of the waitresses called a taxi for me. The Hamnoy area is mind-blowing.
The view from the many windows was breathtaking. There were 2 hearths, so on any floor you could enjoy a cozy fire. Kitchen was big with all the needed equipment. It was very nicely furnished, cozy and comfortable. Especially the very comfy chairs on the second floor were a delight. Easy to get the rooms warm, even in winter. You could park multiple cars on the property. Location was very good positioned to visit Leknes for groceries and several beautiful beaches and hiking trails in the area (generally a 10 minute drive).
Great house with lot of wood, lovely details everywhere and nothing is missing. 2 ovens are also great. Kitchen is superbly equipped with everything, beds are comfortable. It is nice and cosy in the entire house. The house is located in easy walking distance to the Hauklandstranda beach and it only takes a a 5 minute drive with the car through the tunnel to Uttakleiv beach, where we had the chance to see northern lights. Leknes is very close as well for easy shopping. Thanks, Rebecca!
Owners are super super nice! Extremely hepful. Rolf is a great guy. I was going to Lofoten for landscape photography. Lofoten basecamp is perfectly located: 10 minutes ride to Uttakleiv and Haukland beaches, 20 minutes to Unstad, 20 minutes to Vik, Vitken, Ramberg, less than 30 minutes to Nusfjord. For grocery, wine and alcool or other supplies, you are 5 minutes from Leknes where you can find anything you need. Perfect spot to begin your photo trip.
Very neat, nice place, all clean, centrally located in Leknes with all you need around. Free laundry room, hot shower and cosy kitchen with a common area with sofas is really all we dreamt of after our long hiking trip. Comfortable bed, tight curtains (it's polar day in summer), easy check-in and check-out and plus kind of home feeling, we were very happy and comfortable there on our last day.
The room and common bathroom were clean and tidy. The owners were friendly and very accommodating: they also gave us the opportunity to leave our two luggages both before the check-in and the check-out. The hotel was right in the middle of Leknes, 1-2 minute walk from the bust station, from a few restaurants and bars, and from the main supermarket.
Truly amazing stay!
Beautiful modern house, spacious, great kitchen with all the equipment we needed and much more.
Amazing view, in a very good location near Leknes.
The hosts were very helpful and responsive.
Would definitely recommend and come back for sure!
The cabin is very nicely furnished with huge windows looking directly on to the fjord. Perfectly located for exploring the area around Leknes. Only problem is it is so nice it is very tempting to stay here all day. It has absolutely everything you might need.
brand new accomodations, very clean and in a peaceful surroundings. in our bedroom were available household appliances to enjoy simply meals and breakfasts. parking in front of the cabin, nice trail head just a few steps away. Leknes facilities at 7 km
We liked how clean, quiet, and fully equipped it was. All the features were modern. The location was central to exploring other parts of the Lofoten Islands. Parking was provided and it was an easy walk into the centre of Leknes for dinners.
Location was perfect, just 10 minutes from Leknes and an hour from the likes of Reine/Hamnoy etc House was extremely tidy, shower was great, beds where comfortable. Has everything you need, even the likes of cooking oil, salt pepper etc
very big apartment with everything you need, needed a room for a second night in Leknes because of the weather and of course booked again here. very nice and helpful hosts, greetings to Heidi and Svenn! :)
Amazing view, very comfortable house and well equipped kitchen! The area is quiet and sorrounded by nature, which we really liked. Leknes easy to reach in a 10 min drive with all the shops you need.
beautiful property all on its own in a peaceful location, but only 15 minutes from Leknes, which has numerous restaurants and cafes. great cabins and very friendly staff!
