The outdoor garden was amazing, the dinner and breakfast was fantastic, and the staff/restaurant servers were so incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. The staff was even able to accommodate a massage with last minute notice. 10/10 experience would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was delicious especially the scrambled eggs. I was also very happy that the kitchen could cater to vegetarians. The staff were very attentive and couldn't have done more. The room was also great, nice bath and comfortable bed. Everything I needed was there. I can't wait to visit again.

The location and the map that they gave me, it was super helpful. The owner were so nice and explained everything in an easy way. The room has a beautiful view.

Tadashi insisted on picking me up from the train station, on his day off as well. Himself and Yuki are lovely people and very welcoming. Everthing is meticulously clean and the bed was so comfortable, i had the first decent nights sleep since arriving in Japan 6 days previous. There is a view of a Buddhist temple out of the bedroom window and the neighbourhood where the property is seems safe and quiet.

The staff representative was super helpful and nice, helped us to carry the luggage upstairs. The room was fully-equipped and clean. There is a rooftop where you can just chill out. We could leave our luggage for a couple of hours after the check out time, which we really appreciate! Absolutely the hotel to recommend.

Well maintained property, clean, comfy beds, love the location (away from hustling bustling touristy area), utility room is very useful & convenient (with a very nice smell of detergent/softener - my clothes smells so nice even days after washing). Shuttle bus to/from Kyoto station was very convenient. HIGHLY RECOMEND!

Attractively situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Tassel Hotel Sanjo Shirakawa is located 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1 km from Heian Shrine and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo Station.... The breakfast was amazing, light, and delicious. The location was also great.
