I only needed this hotel for one night rest and didn’t have any intention to visit Hannover or its surroundings. I arrived after 8 and left before 8 in the morning, so no contact at all with employees except for the breakfast, which was good. In a few words, the hotel did its job.

The lack of bedside lamps was a disappointment as had to get out of bed to put the main light out. The entry to the room was by code which you could not see in the dark corridor. I had to use the torch on my phone.. Room 409 the sink plug mechanism was broken.

The location and price was what swung it. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

There was a chair in my room covered with stains, looked very disgusting,if you can't clean it better to be removed from the room because no one can use it anyway

No ventilation system inside the room so you need to open the windows for some fresh air and then you get noise from the street. The hotel building is shared with common services on the first floor and anyone can access the hotel's floors. That gave some aspect of insecurity although nothing suspicious happened. Maybe to install digital locks on doors that give access to the rooms.

The room was very spacious, clean and had a very confortable bed. Breakfast attended most expectations. Staff is friendly. Hotel is located right in front of an U-bahn station (15 min to downtown areas) and there is a supermarket just across the street. Small fridge inside the room.

Dirty windows and window sills. The room is poorly ventilated. When the windows are closed, there is a residual smell of tobacco.

I stayed at this hotel on 4th of May 2024, and unfortunately left my AirPods Pro in the room. While I was initially pleased that the hotel manager found them and agreed to mail them to me in Denmark, it has now been over two weeks with no action taken despite multiple follow-ups. The AirPods Pro are a special gift from my wife, making their return very important to me. I have provided all the necessary information and even offered to cover the shipping costs, but my efforts have been met with unresponsiveness. This issue has significantly marred my experience with Hotel Mecklenheide Hannover, and I hope the management takes immediate steps to resolve this matter. I am still hopeful for a positive resolution and will update my review if the situation is addressed.

You have to read the small print to find out they no longer offer breakfast. Upon entering the room I found broken glass on the floor. I spent 4 nights and room service come only once but all that was done was a change of towels for the shower. Hand towels were not changed. Bed was not touched and floor not cleaned.

I arrived at 20.30, there was no one at the reception desk. I found check-in instructions in my email, entered my room and was horrified, it was not cleaned at all. I called the phone number indicated in the email, the girl answered me that she would solve everything and in half an hour she would give me a new number. Half an hour later nothing happened, I wrote to this girl and she replied that she would be there soon. ten minutes later she told me to go down to the reception. There was no apology, she just gave me a key to enter another room and offered me a free breakfast for the inconvenience, she said that breakfast starts at 6.00. I woke up at 6.30, at 7.00 I was at the reception, I didn’t find any traces of breakfast or staff there. I often stay in hotels in Germany, there are different situations, but this was my worst experience.

No fuss, straightforward, and very efficient. Great value. Access and booking off is completely self managed, which I really liked as we turned up only before midnight and left early before breakfast.

The location is not perfect, but good overall. The hotel is not within walking distance from the city centre, but is less than one minute walk from the closest tram station. The train station is also not far, so the hotel is a rather convenient option if you have a flight to catch from HAJ.

This is a nice budget hotel. I spent only one night there, and it definitely did the job. The online check-in and check-out procedures were quite smooth. I didn't interact much with the hotel staff, they were helpful and nice when I did. The breakfast is very good, definitively one of the highlight of my stay.

I called the hotel at 9:20pm on July 28th. I asked if I could check in if I arrive after 12pm.They told me they were open 24 hours and I could check in whenever I wanted.I arrived at the hotel a few minutes before midnight.The reception was closed. I called the hotel at 00:05.I couldn't reach anyone. I called again.I explained to the staff who took the call that I was at the door but couldn't check in as the front desk was closed.She persistently asked me about the message sent via the app, ignoring my identity information, the emails sent by Booking and the reservation number.At that point, strangely enough, I wasn't able to log into the app. For 12 minutes I tried to explain this and solve the problem.This employee, who would never take a step to resolve the issue, hung up and said another employee would call you.Deleting and reinstalling the booking app worked, I logged back in and found the message I wanted.I called the hotel again and said I found the message I was looking for. She said ok then check in online. She didn't even know about their system that doesn't allow online check-in after midnight. Another employee said she would call you and hung up.I found another place to stay because I couldn't trust their great solution oriented approach and I found it unsafe waiting on a street in the middle of the night.At 00:54 they sent a code via WhatsApp.I wonder what missing information they found in an hour.Or do you want customers waiting in the middle of the street at midnight to see if you can fix the problem?A fiasco in every respect.If you cannot find a simple information and send the code,the customer can find another hotel to stay and check in.Note to the staff who avoided the problem they couldn't solve by not understanding my pronunciation:the German I speak allows me to work as a doctor in this country.As I speak three different languages,I have had no problems checking into hotels in many parts of the world.

The reception was closed when we arrived (even though the check in time stated by the hotel was supposed to finish 2 hours later). I even had informed the hotel.about the arrival time, to which they replied "yes, confirmed". When we finally managed to digitally retrieve information how to enter our room (after two hours of standing in front of the hotel) and we entered the room, someone else was inside it. Naturally, we ended up not being able to check in at the hotel and we had to scramble to find another accommodation at night.

Booking .com not disclosing latest check in time due to this I've lost my 47 euro and a decent rest in the hotel

Nothing, cause I did not use this hotel service due to bookings.com not disclosing latest check in time, I arrived 00:25 the following day which was 25minutes late, I couldn't get in into hotel, just wasted my 47e, made me pissed.
