Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe twin room we had (Room 16) was quite small and to get to the bathroom/toilet you had to walk down 8-10 steps which during the night wasn’t particularly good. The overhead lights behind the bed didn’t work either. The bedroom window needed a blind or net as we had to close the curtains when getting changed and it made the bedroom very dark when we wanted natural light. It would have been nice if the male receptionist was alittle happier with us when we checked in.

Fantastic location, nice staff, felt very safe as the reception is 24 hour manned. Nice complimentary slippers and very clean. Ideal to be able to leave luggage before and after checking in/out.

United KingdomCarpets, paintwork and furniture were all a little tired, and there was a dripping tap in the bathroom and noisy bathroom fan. No breakfast provided in the hotel, but several options available within easy walking distance (this reduces to a couple of coffee shops if you need to eat before 8.30am).
Great location extremely close to Covent Garden, which for the price provided excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable bed, decent towels. Very polite night porter on the desk, who remembered me when I returned in the evening and checked out in the morning.

United KingdomThe only very minor downside was the handheld shower could do with replacing and the curtains in bedroom wouldn't shut - think previous occupant has maybe tried to force it and has come off track. But this didn't effect the overall experience and we would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location, friendly and professional staff, lovely room and secure bag storage. My daughter was treating me on a trip to London with a show, meal etc and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

United KingdomThe location of this hotel is its selling point, and the staff are so lovely and helpful. We’ve stayed here twice now and it’s a hidden gem. Don’t expect it to be 5 star quality but if you want a clean well presented hotel then this for you. There’s not breakfast but that doesn’t matter as you’re a stones throw from Covent Garden, so getting food is easy. We’ve booked to stay again, and think this will be our go to hotel for London from now on.
