Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe staff were friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, black out curtains were great. The complimentary breakfast each day was lovely and had plenty of options. I had some issues with the TV initially and the staff were able to move me to another room after a few days for the remainder of my stay. The location was also fantastic, 2 minute walk to the station and close to plenty of food and shops.

United StatesIf I have to say something negative, even though there is a lift, you still have to take a small flight of stairs to get to your room. When you're alone and have heavy bags, gets a bit much (this is for me personally).
The hotel is in a great location with only a 5 min walk to the Piccadilly Line which will take you to either Heathrow or centre of town. Plenty of restaurants in the area to have a bite or markets to pick up a snack to take back to your room.

United KingdomI couldn't get any hot water in the hand basin but the shower was great. One staff member never smiled!! The seats in the breakfast room were not very comfortable.
Although small, the room was very comfortable and very clean. The location was great, nice and quiet with lovely view of the square garden. Breakfast had a good choice of foods and the coffee was good.

IrelandThe selection for breakfast was limited. I would have appreciated some kind of bread or rolls and not just toast or sweet options. Also, breakfast finished at 9.30am already, which is quite early for us.
Both, my husband and I had the best sleeps ever!! Such a comfortable bed!!! Room temperature was perfect, too (hotel rooms are often too warm). Location was perfect! Beautiful and quiet side street only 2 minutes walk from Earls Court Station.
