Location location location.. what an absolute gem.. the view is amazing and tbh you would be hard to find anything close to it.. The lodge/cabin has everything you need for everything and more.. The horses roaming right outside was an extra special touch..

Lovely and cosy place to stay. The Lodge and the view are even better than on the photos. It was fantastic surprise in the morning to see horses so close to the window. We had a nice relaxing time. You can walk to the town, the walk will take about 40 minutes. I would strongly recommend the place.

The journey up and down the dirt track road to the lodges which was longer than expected, there are many large water filled pot holes which urgently need filling. Also torches required for returning to the lodges after dark as distance from parking area to the lodges is down a steep unpathed embankment.

The lodges although small were good, clean and with reasonably comfortable beds.We had rented both lodges for a family stay of 7 persons which for that number is a difficult find in Ironbridge.

We loved everything!

Where do i start, beautiful location, beautiful lodge, everything we needed for a perfect break away, definitely would come back especially in winter times, staff was very helpful, very kind. The lodge was clean, very cosy, and comfortable, 5 minutes but to town, this is a perfect location for a weekend away, could've happily stayed longer, highly recommended here!

The rubs: Access to lodges is via a very narrow, bush lined, large stoned inclined track full of pot holes, undulations and muddy after rain. Set off all the car sensors every time! We loathed driving it each day. Also, lodge access is as it says, not suitable for people with limited mobility. Take heed on mezzanine area information as ladder is steep and I would add not suitable for limited mobility/more elderly either. Couldn’t carry anything up there. Generally limited hanging and storage space; lived out of suitcase. Some light fluff and cobwebs on walls but that didn’t bother us. Small shower, 70cm tray and water didn’t drain away very quickly. Only one small towel rail and no heating in bathroom. Hung towels on back of chairs. No tumble dryer, ironing facilities, drying rack or clothes rack as stated. Don’t know if these were located elsewhere, no information given. No microwave which would have been useful. No DVD, video or CD players. Satellite box will need updating as BBC and others move to full HD. No instructions on operating main room heater. Horrible drainage smell in lodge one day but gone by next day and thereafter. These are disappointing niggles but we nevertheless enjoyed our stay. We wouldn’t return because of negotiating access track; it was hard on the car.

We enjoyed our stay in Willow lodge and were comfortable. Convenient, quiet wooded location with lovely views only marred by two separate lots of full pylon electrical cables directly overhead. Horses Belle and Cupcake delightful. Peanut the dog visited! Bird song and bats.

Not a problem for our group but TV reception not great in Willow lodge.

Our family group booked both lodges and we all loved them, the setting is perfect with beautiful views and friendly horses! the lodges are very comfortable and cosy, big squishy sofas and plenty of board games and books for rainy days.

The lodge was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. Tracey, the host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great one. The lodge is easy to find and located in a beautiful scenic spot but not too far from local attractions & amenities. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend!
