This is a great place to stay for when you want to have your own private quiet space (and a bit more space than a typical hotel room), but still want to be cared for by hotel-like staff. We landed on this place because I wanted to stay in a typical Ryokan, but my husband wanted his own bathroom. It was the best stay of our Japan trip out of 3 hotels that were all far above average. It feels very secluded and private, there are around 10 apartments in total and everyone has their own entrance. There's a coin washing machine as well. There is a small breakfast buffet with really great coffee and they provide some free snacks during the day as well I believe. All in all it feels really kind and caring.

In the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kyoto International Manga Museum, 谷町君・星屋旅館・神泉ノ宿 二条城 has a garden, free WiFi and a washing machine. A very good choice for family with 5 ppl. Easy to reach by metro and bus, quite neighborhood. definitely recommend.

The house itself includes comfort accessories and even games and books, wherever possible a reference with a humorous caption.

The location is excellent, easy access to Ninezaka, the famous area for all souvenir shopping. The property is clean and the staff are super helpful!!!

It exceeded our expectation. The property looked and felt as the pictures show. The staff were wonderful and very attentive. A true traditional town house that perfectly matches the Kyoto culture. The property was close to many restaurants and cafes. The Macha tea ceremony was great at our Arrival. A bonus.

Situated in Kyoto, 500 metres from Kyoto International Manga Museum,Kyoto Machiya Fukune is an accommodation with a garden. The accommodation has a hot tub. Extremely clean, quiet and convenient, and it is right in the centre of the city! Very good restaurants and a few convenience stores are nearby. We also visited Shibori artcraft museum a few blocks away and had a wonderful experience making Shibori scarf.
