What a place to stay, it was definitely worth it! But remember you have to drive 46 km by gravel road to get there. We drove a city car Ford Fiesta (without 4x4) and we've done it! Going there by such a car, you should count around 1,5 h one way. But with these views and sense that you are in the middle of nowhere, it was such a positive thrilled adventure :) For us this town Djúpavík with a Hotel Djúpavík was the best thing, which we came across in the whole Western Fiords. Definitely worth visiting!!

This family-run guest house in in Nordurfjördur village offers basic rooms in a converted barn, as well as modern self-service cottages. Krossnes Geothermal Pool is 1 km away. I imagine that most of the people staying here are doing so to go to Krossneslaug a few km up the road. But the cottage and its surroundings are worth a trip in their own right. Secluded but all the facilities that you need, including a gas BBQ outside which we used to cook burgers. All in all well worth the 100km drive from Hólmavík. And an added bonus is that if you are staying overnight you can visit the pool late or early and avoid the day trippers (just remember cash to pay or note the bank details to make a transfer)

Set in Hólmavík, Hótel Laugarhóll with natural hot spring has a garden, shared lounge, restaurant, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy mountain views. At the hotel, each room comes with a desk. We had food with us that needed to be refrigerated and we were immediately provided with a fridge. There is also a gym where we still had fun. There is also a hot pot and swimming pool. Breakfast with homemade bread. It's a pity that we didn't have more time with you.

Situated in Drangsnes in the West Iceland region, Hvammur 1 with private hot tub features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Amazing little cottage in a beautiful location. Very bright inside because of many windows around the living room and kitchen area. Fully equipped kitchen and nice bedrooms and a bathroom.

Located in Drangsnes in the West Iceland region, Hvammur 2 Bjarg with private hot tub provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. This is probably the best place we have stayed in our 25 days in Iceland. Everything was spotlessly clean, stylish, and in great condition. Everything you could possibly want is there. From paper towels in the kitchen to wine bottle opener, salt and pepper, olive oil, etc. With underfloor heating, the cabin temp was very easy to adjust up or down. The fridge was a good size about 80 litres, 3 induction stove tops, and they all worked perfectly. There was a toaster and coffee machine jaffle maker as well. On the deck was a hot tub with amazing views and a bbq and outdoor furniture.

Thanks again to Benedikt :-) Recommend to stay at least 2 days to enjoy the environment and of course the private hot tub! :-) Don't forget to buy your food latest at Holmavik before moving on to the hut. Would love to come back here once again!

Awesome Cottage with private hot tub in a very beautiful area. Fully equipped kitchen and a barbecue free to use. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Located in Drangsnes and featuring in-room coffee/tea facilities and free Wi-Fi, this guesthouse offers versatile accommodation in both rooms and self-catering apartments. Nice, wooden cabins, the patio is a nice addition, the room was very clean, the receptionist was very warm and welcoming, all in all, I would recommend this place for any future travellers :)
