Situated in Akita, 1.6 km from Akita Station, Hotel KAN-RAKU Akita Kawabata features views of the city. The 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Know a lot complain about distance from the station, however the hotel is right next to the main entertainment street, which I really enjoyed when getting food. Really nice hotel and friendly staff.

Boasting 2 restaurants, a bar and a cafe, ANA Crowne Plaza Akita, an IHG Hotel is conveniently located a 3-minute walk from JR Akita Train Station. After a long flight and a long train journey there is nothing better than a good, relaxing hotel which is just what we found ANA Crowne Plaza to be. The hotel is only 3 or 4 minutes walk from Akita station. Take the west exit and follow the covered walkway straight ahead and down an escalator. High up on the wall of a department store you will see a sign directing you to the main entrance of the hotel. Go up a short slope walk along the side of the store, turn the corner and you are there. Check in was very welcoming and we were able to get the key to our room with no problem. The room itself on a high floor of the hotel was spacious, clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well, but as far as I could see the TV only had Japanese channels. We had booked a club level room which gave us access to the lounge which until 1930 served generous canapés wine, beer spirits and a large selection of sake as well as soft drinks. We enjoyed both the food and drink which were top quality and retired to our room early for a much needed sleep. The bed was large and comfortable. The next morning we had a good breakfast again in the lounge and then checked out ready for the next part of our trip. An excellent stay and I would certainly recommend a Club Level room if funds allow.

Boasting 5 hot-spring baths and a Korean sauna, Route Inn Grantia Akita Spa Resort is 1.5 km from JR Akita Train Station. Rooms include free internet, a full bathroom and satellite TV channels. The room was clean and what I liked the most was the spa in front of the hotel. Furthermore, the spa had a wonderful sushi restaurant. It was so nice to stay fun time with my girlfriend.

Dormy Inn Akita is located opposite historical Senshu Park and is a 5-minute walk from JR Akita Station. Free internet access and a public bath are provided. conveniently located near station n eateries. lovely onsen on the rooftop, free ice cream, coffee, ramen in the evening n yogurt milk drink in the morning. plenty of washing machines, free wash with detergent provided, you only pay for the dryer breakfast buffet was good! good sized room too
