As backpackers, this is our favourite place in Colombia and it is Palomino's hidden gem. It's the kind of place that makes you keep extending - we booked three nights and stayed for two weeks. During our stay in Jaba Jan, we found everything we were looking for. It is 3km to Palomino so the town is always accessible but at the same time you can stay away from the crowds. Not only the place is incredibly beautiful and it is located in a privileged spot, but our stay was absolutely amazing thanks to the people there. The owners, Dean and Jen, are two sweethearts. From day one, they always helped us on everything we needed and made sure that our stay was comfy and truly unique. The common spaces are always filled with a great vibe and people gather up for dinner/lunch in a very familiar way. Also, Dean and Jen prepared very sweet get togethers, like canelazo or sangria nights. The activities offered by the hostel are great. The kayak tour around the mangrove is very special and Dean explains the area in a very detailed way. The environment around the hostel is very nice and wild: the river, the mangrove and the almost private beach next to it are great spaces to chill and have a good time. About the facilities, the rooms are always very clean, they have a sports space that is quite big and equipped, the open showers are super beautiful and the kitchen and common areas have everything you need to for cooking, relaxing and enjoying yourself. The price is very fair for what you get and the food (bkf, lunch and dinner) is delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Couldn't recommend this place more :)

Donama River er með útsýni yfir rólega götu og býður upp á gistirými með svölum, í um 1,2 km fjarlægð frá Palomino-strönd. Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd og ókeypis einkabílastæði. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They kindly did our laundry and neatly folded and bagged ready to be packed for the next location of our travels.

Casa Flor Hostel & Drinks er staðsett í Ríohacha, 300 metra frá Playa de Riohacha, og býður upp á bar, sameiginlega setustofu og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. Gistihúsið er með fjölskylduherbergi. Location. Room. Nice people working there

Apartamento #3 complex en excelente ubicación er staðsett í Ríohacha á Guajira-svæðinu og býður upp á verönd. Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að svölum og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Our host Olga was really welcoming and helpful! We've only spent a night there and did not have much time, but in case we would have wanted to cook, the kitchen would have provided us with everything!

Hostal La Finquita er með sundlaugarútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með svölum, í um 600 metra fjarlægð frá Palomino-ströndinni. Jui Chi MaMa státar af garðútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með garði, í um 2,4 km fjarlægð frá Palomino-ströndinni. I really recommend staying at Jui Chi MaMa. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable with a beautiful and calm garden. However I found there more than just a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The owners have a great knowlege of the Palomino, it's history and the indegineus people who live around there. German also took us birdwatching - I recommend to you this activity with him, he knows a lot about the birds in Palomino and he is a great guide. Casa Zaida Hostal Vintage er staðsett í Ríohacha, 800 metra frá Playa de Riohacha, og státar af garði, sameiginlegri setustofu og útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. This is the cutest and nicest hostel in Colombia, the family who runs it, does it with a lot of heart. We felt very welcomed and really recommend this place!

Glamping Due Amici er staðsett í Palomino, 1,7 km frá Palomino-ströndinni og býður upp á fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Þetta lúxustjald er með einkasundlaug og garð. This is such a lovely place to stay in Palomino. We spend 6 days there and were sad when we had to leave! You have a lot of private space because every tent comes with its own bathroom area including hammocks and a jacuzzi. Also you can sit on the beautiful terrace and work or enjoy the view with a lot of birds. The tents are very cozy and spacious but too hot during the day to spend time there. During the night the temperature falls and the beds are comfy. The staff was great, especially Diana who made sure we have everything we need and gave us good advices for activities. They also varied the breakfast for us and it was very good! The place itself is not on the main street of Palomino but still close to everything and that makes it less noisy during the night. We are very happy we chose the glamping.

Hostal Nibuni Palomino státar af garðútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með garði, bar og sameiginlegri setustofu, í um 1 km fjarlægð frá Palomino-ströndinni. We had a wonderful stay here, super relaxed. The owner and his staff are just amazing and lovely! They helped us with all the requests we had. The place is very quiet but super central as well, amazingly clean despite all the sand and just great. The breakfast is really delicious and they take care of your preferences! Here you're surrounded by just wonderful great vibes. We liked it so much that we prolonged our stay for several days. We would always come back and will recommend this site, which became our Palomino home, to everyone who's going to visit Palomino.

Bella Flor Hostel Palomino er staðsett í Palomino, mitt á milli strandarinnar og aðalekisins. Boðið er upp á fallegt garð/slökunarsvæði og fjallaútsýni. Gestir geta snætt á veitingahúsinu á staðnum. Great staff and good breakfast!
