Although we enjoyed slow days with the views from the house in the morning or evenings in front of the fireplace, you are well connected to the Lofoten for a day trip (ferry from Melbu) or nearby Stokmarknes with places to stock up on groceries or a floating sauna you can book. Bonus: if you are visiting at the right time of the year and are a bit lucky as well, you can see northern lights from the house or right behind.

This property and location are absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a slower pace of life, bathe in magnificent views and have a great base to explore the Lofoten islands. The view out of the window is amazing and ideal for watching the Northern Lights in warm comfort. A stroll along the beach at the end of the garden and it is easy to forget the world outside the fjord. A big thank you to the host/owner for all the helpful and friendly communication. We were very sad to leave at the end of our holiday.
