It is the perfect place for a family stay. The house had everything we needed to cook the food, both inside and outside. It is a quite place with a fantastic view over the vineyards and the river. Our kid enjoyed the pool area, especially when the lovely donkey Nikita came by :) The territory is well kept and the staff is polite (and even easy and interesting to speak with even if you don't speak Portuguese). This was life in a small village in Portugal. It allowed me to interact with local people, share a coffee in the local bakery and walk to all the nearby shops and restaurants.

We loved watching the river cruise boats go past too! It is a remote and very peaceful location which was exactly what we were looking for. Lovely sandy beach below the house. Awoken to cockerels and sheep bells tinkling! A rural idyll. Shops & supermarkets in Cinfaes only 10 to 15 min drive away.

Make sure you book your dinner in advance: by the fireplace, you will never forget. And you may pickup oranges to take home if you wish.
