Álvaro and his family are extremely helpful and attentive. When I mentioned that I wanted to see the bioluminescent bay, Álvaro told me no problem and a local guide came by after dark about an hour later. Most of the other guests were Colombian tourists and everyone was exceedingly kind and friendly. I mostly communicated in Spanish with staff but Álvaro speaks English well. The beach is truly minutes away and so relaxing. An excellent getaway! (Altho WI-FI was still good if you want to be connected)

Wow. The campsite is run by the local legend Gregorio an amazing guy. He made us feel very at home and was so kind to us. We learnt loads about life on the island for the locals the good and the bad. He had loads of cool tours for us too. The best was fishing for barracuda, so cool. We managed to catch three and an egg fish which he helped us cook together that night. He gave us coconut and taught us how to cook plantain and coconut rice. A lovely place and a lovely guy, thank you Gregorio!

Fragata Island House provides rooms in Cartagena de Indias. Set on the beachfront, this property features a private beach area, an open-air bath and a bar. The accommodation offers full-day security, luggage storage space and currency exchange for guests.

The place has two beaches, one in front with soft sand and one in the back that is rocky. The water is crystaline, there is no music its a place for total relaxation. You can walk the sland and the people who lives there is really nice, actually most workers are from that island wich adds to the good vibes and the charm to the hotel. Carlos was really attentive and servicial as everyone of the good people who works there, they have experience in good service skills. The cookers were another level they cooked every plate perfectly even medium rare meats cooked to perfection.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. There's places to relax all around. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We are vegan and gluten free and they were very accommodating during dinner. The location is great, not too far from the little village and Playa Libre. Everything was calm. Our room was clean and tidy. The free kayaks were a top bonus!

Really nice pool area. Great backpacking vibe, nice people. Good price for accommodation considering it's on an island. Doorm rooms are decent.Good food and drinks but pricey. Waiting time for food is long. If you want to save money, there is a small grocery store nearby (an insanely small village). Plankton tour was too expensive, but the other tours might be worth it.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful. There are many places to relax around the property. Hammocks and swings and chairs, and the beach access. Everything you need is at the property; restaurant and bar and snorkeling, gear and activities. It’s a short walk to the village if you want to visit.

Isla Grande is amazing- and the staff are even better. There are also sooo many options for activities which i loved. It was fun to walk through the local village to get to other beaches as the Secreto beach isn’t amazing.

Great hotel to spend a few days away from the chaos of Cartagena. Paid $175,000 pesos for the transport (shared boat). Paid extra for a room with air conditioning. Well worth the investment. Lots of friendly dogs living on the property. Short walk to the village and to other beaches. Delicious breakfast, too! Staff was super nice and lunch options were good. Drink prices for beer reasonable ($10,000). Will definitely return!

Absolutely incredible spot. Crystal clear water (albeit some trash below the waves), relaxing in cabanas with great food and drink, and exploring the island (don't miss village life in Orika). The bioluminscent tour was truly memorable, as were the otherworldly mangroves and exploring other islands nearby with Luis Filipe (fantastic tour guide; highly recommend!).

Excellent eco-resort with comfortable rooms and super kind and friendly staff. Directly on the ocean, with snorkeling right out front. Lots of comfy hammocks (per the name). Well located: the village is a 15-minute walk through the jungle, and we also walked over to a neighboring resort one night for dinner. Note that the Mary tourist boat from Cartagena will drop and collect you right on the resort's own pier.

The best thing about this place is the location. It's right on the water and contrary to other accomodations in the island you can walk to the village and anywhere you want. The tours they offer are absolutely fantastic (snorkeling, swimming with plâncton and canoe trip through the manglares), and everyone is super welcoming and friendly. The food is good and the price is very fair. Absolutely recommend (:
