Our room was very comfortable and peaceful - the perfect place to relax after exploring Togakushi. We had both dinner and breakfast and would highly recommend - some of the most delicious and memorable food of our trip!

If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

We had everything we needed and went for the short walk to nagano village for dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning. We had an issue with the heating but the owner of the property messaged me straight away to get it sorted, so that was appreciated.

We used the hotel as a base whilst visiting the Monkey Park and onsen villages. The staff helped us ship luggage to Tokyo.
