The home was beautiful and comfortable. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were helpful, friendly and kind. Everything we needed was provided. We were picked up at the train station and were able to pick up supplies on the way to the home. We had a very relaxing stay even though it rained the entire time. The host took us site seeing on the way back to the station and shared knowledge about the area and history. We had a fun time!

My wife and I are not young folks anymore. The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.

The views would be amazing once the cherry blossom starts blooming. We were picked up at the station and dropped off during check out. This was a fantastic place to stay, the house is in a beautiful area of Omihachiman with small winding paths and beautiful houses. It is close to shrines, and Mt Hachiman, which we hiked. We also rented bikes and cycled around the area through beautiful rice paddies. The house is bright, very well equipped with fully equipped kitchen. The owner Sun made sure we had everything we needed and even offered us a ride to the train station on our last day.
