Everything was great, the family who run the homestay were all so friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable with a great warm blanket for the cold weather! We had the best stay in Hmong Wooden Home. The people there were so kind and helpful and organized a brilliant trekking tour. They also booked us taxis to and from Sapa. The food was very good and on our second night we had dinner (and happy water) with the family and other guests which was tasty and really good value. The room was perfect with comfortable beds and probably the best shower we've had since arriving in vietnam.we stayed two nights but could've stayed longer. An amazing experience and would definitely recommend!

We stayed at pavi home for a week and it was a really great relaxing experience! All the people were really friendly and helpful. Not everyone could speak perfectly english, but we got a long very well! We used google translate when we had struggles. We also tried to pickup some Vietnamese! The food is really great and tasty. I read that some people complained about when they did not have some food like bread in stock, but honestly you are not in 5 star hotel where you would expect that. You are in a quite remote village in the mountains, so that's life here! There a few shops and restaurants around with 5 to 10 minutes walk, but mostly you could get everything in the pavi home. Try to book arrange a taxi pickup with the owner prior to arriving as it is 250k and not like taxi where you pay ~400k. The owner is also very helpful when it comes to arranging day trips and recommendations where to hike and walk. You can rent a scooter for 150k per day (expect some bumpy and narrow roads when you go to other villages). We had an amazing stay, had good conversations and a clean and nice room with AC and hot water. They also have 4 nice pets! 2 cats and 2 dogs. And if in doubt, just go and ask or talk to the people, they try to help you the best they can!

There are a few restaurants and bars in the small village and you can just start hiking from the doorstep of the homestay. The host was very friendly.
