Pensão Repouso Alegre Turismo e Aventura er staðsett í Portela á Fogo-svæðinu og er með garð. Gististaðurinn er með innri húsgarð og útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. We were very welcomed by Jose who is running his place with pride. He guided us in his friendly way to the top of the volcano and back. He took all the time we needed and was checking everything if we were doing fine. The house is just outside the village, very quiet and great view to the volcano. And he had cold beer. We needed it.

The people here are so friendly, kind and helpful!! The view is great and rooms are very nice and clean! We enjoyed every second here!

Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

Casa alcindo er staðsett í Chã das Caldeiras og býður upp á bar. Gististaðurinn er með sólarhringsmóttöku og veitingastað. Gestir geta notið fjallaútsýnis. Everything! Great Location, fantastic staff, very good food. Staff was always helpful and super friendly. The organization of guides, collectivo were perfect and the area is breathtaking. Don’t miss watching stars at night!

Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

Pipi's Guest House er staðsett í São Filipe, 2,4 km frá Sao Filipe-ströndinni og býður upp á garð, verönd og bar. Allar gistieiningarnar á gistiheimilinu eru með fataskáp. This was exactly what I needed a tranquil, beautiful tropical paradise getaway just far enough from the city to enjoy a peaceful day and night but close enough to everything. The airport is right there so perfect place to get your rest during your Cabo Verde getaway. Pipi and her family are a true blessing and are the best hosts I've encountered in a long time. As a frequent traveler I cannot say enough about how great this place was. Pool was the perfect size to cool off. The food was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. The room was spacious and super clean. Comfy bed, large shower (hot water). I could go on and on but words aren't enough. Go there check it out for yourself you will not regret it.

Casa Ze & sonia er staðsett í Portela. Á gististaðnum er meðal annars veitingastaður, sólarhringsmóttaka og lítil verslun. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar hvarvetna. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

EcoFunco er staðsett í Portela. Gistirýmið er með sólarhringsmóttöku og bílastæði á staðnum. Allar gistieiningarnar á gistiheimilinu eru með fataskáp. The stay at Ecofunco was perfect! First the transfer offered by Ecofunco is really helpful. Then, the room is cozy and has all you need. Also, breakfast is really good and tasty :)

Gira Lua er staðsett í Igreja á Fogo-svæðinu og er með verönd og sjávarútsýni. Gistirýmið er með fjallaútsýni og svalir. Gistirýmið býður upp á flugrútu og bílaleiguþjónustu. Yulia was an incredible host. We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

Tortuga B&B er staðsett í São Filipe og býður upp á gistirými við ströndina, nokkrum skrefum frá Sao Filipe-ströndinni og ýmiss konar aðstöðu, svo sem garð, verönd og bar. Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
