The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. My father & I voted this the number 1 property we stayed at for our entire UK trip. The rooms were beyond expectation. Big, clean & comfortable. The staff were beyond helpful. One even helped us push our car out of the carpark after a snow storm! They were super friendly. The location was also brilliant.

Room is comfortable for family stay. Only few minutes walk to grocery stores and the pier. With only 5-minutes walk up the hill, there is a great view of lake Windermere.

The hotel's location allowed easy access to the beauty of the Lake District, making it a convenient base for adventures. The friendly staff contributes to the warm atmosphere, greeting guests with smiles and a passion for service. The rooms is clean, cozy and comfortable. The home made butter brings pure joy in every bite😄. Everything made my visit a delightful and memorable experience.

Svært komfortabelt rom med alt en trenger. Kjempegod seng. Fin utsikt. Badet var stort og godt trykk i dusjen. Super frokost! Veldig hyggelig vertskap. Ligger ca 5 minutt fra jernbanestasjonen i Windermere. Ca 20 min å gå til Bowness, og i tillegg gode bussforbindelser til områdene rundt. Fikk tilsendt info på forhånd om turer og restauranter. Veldig hyggelig opphold! Anbefales på det varmeste.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.
