The breakfast was very good, the eggs were cooked just right. The room was very big with soft carpets. Only after visiting the castle (just 5 minutes by foot) we learned that the house has a historical importance. It's also 5-7 minutes by foot in another direction to the older part of the town with a lot of bars and other landmarks. There was a private parking available.

My husband and I loved sitting outside on the patio. Plenty of space to relax in our area upstairs. Plenty of food options too, including the complimentary food that Jean gave us.

The location and grounds were great. It was a fun experience while visiting Ireland. All the basic necessities were provided.

Apartment, Kilkenny City is situated in the Kilkenny City Centre district of Kilkenny, less than 1 km from Kilkenny Railway Station, 18 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club and 35 km from Carrigleade Golf... The location was amazing. we parked the car at a nearby manned multi-storey (22 Euro for 5 days). we could walk everywhere in the city and only used the car on one day. The host was charming and helpful. The apartment was superb- very spacious , well equipped, loads of instant hot water. It was above a restaurant ( a very good one owned by the host) but no smell entered the apartment and there was no noise.

Tess's Guest House R95K6N1 This Property is unsuitable for children under 12 years old features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Freshford, 15 km from Kilkenny Railway... Tess was wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely breakfast in the morning and lots of choices for tea or coffee at your leisure. Beautiful home and very comfortable bed. Thank you again Tess!

Boasting a garden and views of inner courtyard, Knockreagh Farm Cottages, Callan, Kilkenny is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Kilkenny, 14 km from Kilkenny Castle. The host was great. The property was beautiful. The stay included many perks which we were not aware of when we booked. This farm is a must stay if in the area.

Offering a garden and garden view, Gráisín is situated in Kilkenny, 8.1 km from Kilkenny Castle and 25 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club. This was our first stay in Ireland and it set the bar very high. Jo, is fabulous. It’s a bit far from town but she drove us in and picked us up both nights of our stay. We loved it here, the property is so charming and we were more than comfortable. 100/10
