I am touched by the genuine and hearty interaction with Mr. Arun, and his extended family. His brother Krishna cooked beautiful meals for us. Arunji’s father who is in his nineties, was still supervising construction work at the property. He offered us bagfuls of Kiwis from his garden. You also get to eat fresh organic vegetables grown right there on the farm. We came back home with three large squashes from their garden. The property has lots of beautiful trees and many flowering plants and orchids. Our travel needs were mostly met by Mr. Chetan who speaks English. He is a very careful driver and always keeps the comfort of his passengers in mind. His charges are very reasonable and he doesn’t overcharge you even if you are visiting from abroad. He knew that we were visiting from Canada but did not try exploit us. You don’t need to negotiate the price with him but you need to book him in advance since he is very much in demand. Staying here, you kind of become a part of their family.

It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

Very big and modern house with a lot of space. Many sofas and armchairs to relax. On the roof a huge terrasse. We stayed two nights for a great value. The hosts were very helpful, providing a taxi to Darjeeling and the airport. They took great care of us on our return as we were really sick. The cook prepared lovely food for us. Really enjoyed every one of the Homestay

The elevators and common areas are top quality as well. The price is extremely affordable and dirt cheap for the kind of property you'll be staying in. Cheap motels cost much more these days. The owner was very cordial and helpful. She was extremely vigilant about the comfort of our stay. Her communication etiquette, willingness to provide related information and care towards hosting is something that needs mentioning here. These are necessary markers for a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay around this pincode.

Dey Niwas se encuentra en Dam Dam, a 4,1 km de Estación de metro Dumdum y a 10 km de M G Road Metro Station, y ofrece wifi gratis, terraza y aire acondicionado. Very nice and clen apt, 15 minutes away from the airport. Perfect stay if you like to have your privacy, the area is quite and far enough from the noises of the main road that is close by. It's possible to find all the facilities just at few minutes walking from the house. The house is fully equipped if you want to arrange some food by your self.The owner is very kind and helpfull. Good quality at the right price... highly recommended.
