Set in Haukadalur and only 4 km from Geysir, Náttúra Yurtel offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved everything! This was the best place we stayed at our trip. We ate at restaurant nearby and the portions there were huge so we recommend that also. ☺️ the views were stunning and we woke up when birds started to sing. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable.

We happened to see the aurora that night and the forest was perfect for northern light photos! The accommodation also comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a fancy bathroom, with an indoor fireplace that was just what we needed during a cold night out trying to capture photos.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Valhalla Yurts Odin is situated in Selfoss, 41 km from Thingvellir National Park and 42 km from Geysir. Rick and Jitka are perfect hosts! Super friendly and they have a great eye for details. The yurt was VERY charming. Toilet and shower is a few meters away and just as charming as the yurt. It all adds to the experience! Breakfast was great, way too much actually! Absolutely the best stay we had in Iceland on our two week trip. Wish we would have had an extra night here! Tip for anyone complaining about that it's hard to find: just follow the route descriptions you get by e-mail and you will be just fine.

Check-in and check-out was super easy. Communication with our really friendly host always quick and helpful. The apartment is cute and has all you need for two: Well-stocked kitchenette, super clean and modern bathroom, a giant TV (even though we never switched it on), and the place has its own private hot tub in the backyard! The location is perfect as it's just around the corner from Selfoss' central roundabout, so you'll find it easily and have a great base for exploring Iceland's beautiful southside. Also, you can drive to Reykjavík in just about one hour.
