We stayed in many airbnb and accomdations during our 14 days road trip and I can say that this hits the top 3. Its located on a large compound with hostel, cabin, campsite. Offering a garden and mountain view, Aska, Modern Cabin is located in Myvatn, 5.2 km from Myvatn Nature Baths and 49 km from Godafoss Waterfall. A really nice cabin. Beautiful view, sometimes sheep are around the apartment which is lovely. Staff was nice and supportive. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Little limited space for the luggage but manageable.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Very clean, great shared kitchen, bedroom large and comfortable. The staff is amazing especially Monika who helped me pay a parking fine. She went above and beyond being helpful. A really lovely person that helped me and made my stay so nice.

The staff is very friendly and the area around the guesthouse is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, with local products from the farm, such as smoked trout, homemade jam and bread. They also have an ice cream shop. The guesthouse is located very close to the main attractions in the Myvatn area.
