The family-run Vogafjos Guesthouse is set in a unique natural environment on the eastern shore of Lake Myvatn. It offers rooms with a patio and free Wi-Fi. Really cozy rooms. The restaurant. The cows that you could actually see but smell also. It's a farm were workers take care of the cows during breakfast time. The location pretty much bear to everything in the area

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. Great location and great welcome by the owner. Fully equipped kitchen and a lot of ingredients (coffee, tea, milk, eggs, oil, etc) made available by the owner to cook meals and breakfast, he welcomed us even with home-made bread. Highly recommend.

This was our best stay in Iceland thus far. The room was comfortable with a table outside and a view to a waterfall. We stayed later than any other during our visit to Iceland. I highly recommend staying here.

Overlooking Lake Mývatn, this camping site offers cottages with wooden floors, a private bathroom and a terrace. Everything exceed expectations. We stayed in many airbnb and accomdations during our 14 days road trip and I can say that this hits the top 3. Its located on a large compound with hostel, cabin, campsite. Fantastic place to rest, relax and explore.

The staff is very friendly and the area around the guesthouse is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, with local products from the farm, such as smoked trout, homemade jam and bread. They also have an ice cream shop. The guesthouse is located very close to the main attractions in the Myvatn area.
