This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. Very unique property! Loved everything about it

The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

The staff and manager of the house so helpful. Lots of advice and recommendations where to eat. Also easy to find in the maze of Lamu, close to the jetty but far enough for a peaceful stay

The hotel was very clean and all the amenities were just as described The room was very spacious, the air condition and fan made it very comfortable. Jivanji was very hospitable and all the staff were very polite. Breakfast was served on the terrace overlooking the ocean. A good variety of Swahili goodies.

Banana House and Wellness Centre ligger i byn Shela, 2,7 km från Galleri Baraka. Här finns en utomhuspool. Boendet ligger 2,8 km från Lamu Fort. Our view from our room was incredible. The staff was amazing and so helpful. They coordinated everything for us and made sure we were taken care of with airport transfers and activities around the island. The chefs were also wonderful. Overall and amazing experience and we hope to be back :)

The design in this property is amazing, beautiful. The indoor pool is exquisite. The staff was excellent and the apartments large and comfortable.

Beautiful house in the heart of Lamu. The housekeeper was lovely and helped us with all our requests. Plenty of space to relax outside of the room as well.
