Among the facilities at this property are full-day security and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. The inn itself was beautiful. It was my first experience sleeping on traditional Korean bedding, so that was fun. My hosts were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area in a way that it made it much easier to plan my sightseeing. The location was fantastic. The host introduced me to another guest who had access to a car. She kindly agreed to let me tag along during her sightseeing. As a result I was able to see things I would not have been able to visit if left to my own devices. If I ever return to the area I will definitely be returning to this inn

The Hanok was a really nice and comfortable place to stay. Sugi, the owner was so kind. We had a nice chance to visit with her and she even bought us a pajeon we had never had before and enjoyed some makgeolli with her. She was full of information and made us feel welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend this place as a comfortable place to stay that is not a hotel.

Wonderfully peaceful even in the midst of Chuseok… The breakfast is an excellent complete Korean meal. The owner and manager is extraordinarily helpful in all kinds of ways, arranging trips, taking us out to get food etc… and quite knowledgeable about the history of the place being himself a member of the family of the original founder. Absolutely unique.

It was a nice property. Very efficient and a nice location in the downtown of Andong. There is a bus stop nearby to be able to get to the Hahoe village quickly. The host was also very helpful and friendly during the stay and was always there when I needed him :).
The staff at Okyeon Jeongsa were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay - they even offered to pick us up from Hahoe folk village as we didn't have a car, and helped us to book a taxi back to the train station when we checked out. The breakfast was delicious and was served in a room with a beautiful view of the river. Me and my family had an unforgettable experience staying in this hanok, and we highly recommend Okyeon Jeongsa to anyone who is looking to visit Andong!
A very helpful and friendly host, very clean hotel and rooms, great shared facilities ( kitchen with washer dryer, books and music in the lobby), within walking distance from Hanok village and practical for bus stops.
Great place to try out a traditional stay. I booked the 1 person room. It was very comfortable, with one mattress, bedding and pillows. The bathroom was also very spacious with a spa. Lovely breakfast was included (Korean breakfast - delicious). The host was very responsive. Other than that, one had plenty of privacy. It’s located right in the Bukchon Village, but very quiet.
The hosts are very friendly and could converse well in English. The place is very clean and room is cleaned daily. Traditional Korean breakfast is prepared by host and served daily with different side dishes on the mornings. The food is delicious and we can't helped finishing every grain of rice even though we are not exactly a 'rice person'. Location is very near to the hanok village yet not too noisy. We are able to capture sun rise at the comfort of our own room 💜
Authentic Korean village living . Mr Kim is a good hosts and morning breakfast , the lady host played her drum and sang for us . She is very talented .
The situation was good : in the countryside and close to the touristic villages. The man who welcomed us was nice and give us good advices. We had a great experience. And the hanok met our expectations !
Couple that manages the property were really sweet and helpful. The outdoor pool is beautiful. The villa with the indoor pool isn’t really heated, they just fill with hot water. If you want a larger bath towel bring one. I understand this is a cultural difference but we weren’t used to drying off from a shower with a hand size towel. Everything was very clean.
First of all, the hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel staff arranged three mornings with the same taxi driver for visiting the three key historical points around Andong. The taxi driver was very nice and competent (he showed us beautfiul roads through the rice fields, avoiding the most direct roads). He was speaking only Korean and we were speaking only English or French. But that was not a major problem!!! Indeed in Hahoe village he introduced us to a French speaking Korean staff from the KFCE.
It is a roof over your head with a mattress for your back. You pay for what you get and (with the exception of breakfast) nothing more. This being said: It is a perfectly reasonable and cheap place to spend the night (we arrived late and left early in the morning to Hahoe village). Breakfast is also an added bonus. It is simple, with sliced bread and a toaster, jam, cereal, milk, juice, and a nice woman does a good fried egg.
