Well priced, solid facilities and—most importantly—an incredibly helpful host. David went above and beyond to make my and other guests stays as perfect as possible—something thats crucial in a place like this. From restaurant advice to arranging tours to helping with transport onwards, his expertise really helped to make sure I had a fulfilling place in this, one of the most interesting places in the world.

The Hillside Residence is located in Xieng Khouang Province in Northern Laos. Just one km away from the city centre, it offers free parking and peaceful countryside accommodation. What an enchanting and charming place! The hillside residence is just lovely. The family that run it are absolutely delightful and couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. The shower is the BEST!!! The balcony where we had breakfast each day is also a lovely spot to watch the sun go down. There is an excellent restaurant just next door and it’s only a short walk to town. Perfect
