Amazing & friendly staff. Extremely helpful and attentive. We had both our dinners and breakfast here and it was definitely the best Sri Lankan food we have had so far. Location is 20 min walk to town - which we liked a lot but could easily get a tuk tuk which would take less than 5 minutes.

Though i could stay only for a night, but the experience was exceptional. This was my first experience of staying in tent in a foreign country. In night glittering of numerous stars in sky & fireflies on ground, believe me, it was magical. It can't be explained in words, you have to be here to experience the magic of nature. Whenever you visit Ella, stay here, atleast for a night. They also have a well maintained kitchen with refridgerator, kettle, gas stove, induction stove, cooking pans, etc. etc. So you can cook by your own. Owner of this facility Mr. Taru is a nice human being & I enjoyed talking with him. He dropped me to nearby bus stop, such a kind gesture.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Rainbow Sky Cottage is a recently renovated homestay located in Ella, 6.5 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. This is an excellent, small, family-run hotel. Excellent view of the looping railroad through the woods, beautiful mountains, and small farms. Unique construction using local timber. Amazing food on request. We had pleasant conversations with all family members who have local ancestry.

Located in Ella in the Badulla District region, with Ella Railway Station and Ella Spice Garden nearby, Minthu Homestay provides accommodation with free private parking. We stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Ella, this is our favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka, the photos of the view from the balcony and the shared eating space do not do it justice, we had views of an amazing waterfall from our room and the property looks right on to Ella rock. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, they honestly made the stay unforgettable, along with the very tasty breakfast we had every morning. Please stay here if you’re visiting Ella you will not regret it!

Featuring mountain views, Aloft View offers accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 5.7 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. This was the most beautiful stay from Sri Lanka for us. A very big room with all the amenities. Super clean, the breakfast was amazing. The family very nice and helpful. They can also arrange transportation if needed.
