Such a gem! Worth the short drive outside of Chaiten. Jose took great care of us during our time. we even decided to stay a third day. We will return the next time we are in the area.

Host was very friendly and had lots of recommendations and information for us about restaurants, bakeries, tourist attractions, etc. Gave us a couple of eggs from their hens which was appreciated!

We got a night ferry, so we only arrived at 2345, but we were warmly by Klaus. The cabana is very comfortable and warm and we had an excellent nights sleep. We had a super breakfast in the morning and were on our way down the Carretera Austral. A special place to stay

We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. It turned into one of our most memorable stays. Thank you!
