This was our 2nd stay at the Forest Lodge. We like the location, the cabins, the breakfast, the friendly proprietors. One afternoon, the monkeys put on a show, swinging from tree to tree. Convenient to beaches, waterfalls, shopping, restaurants. Mini-fridge in cabin and shared kitchen let you bring back leftovers or make your own dinner if you want.

The views are stunning and the lodges are intimate. As we were about to leave Pablo noticed a nail in our tire and he immediately helped us with the tire and get the service we needed for the repair. Location was very convenient for our needs, including an easy walk to grocery store and restaurants. The facilities (especially the pool!) were extremely clean and inviting and the grounds meticulously maintained. We met and interacted with the owners and found them to be very lovely people. There is no restaurant on site (it is closed) but there is a well stocked community kitchen. No hot water in showers but yes to AC and fan which kept the room very comfortable. Construction noise on site but it comes with the territory. Overall, it was exactly what we needed for our 7 day stay.
