The place is not very big but very cozy. Host left for us complimentary fruits and vine and the moment we asked for a coffee maker Bruno found and delivered for us a new French press coffee maker. Small electric fireplace made the room warm very quick and atmospheric. Good location for the trails but the car is highly required. We stayed for 3 days and it was quite difficult to order a taxi to the town in the evening for a dinner. It's lovely place probably will come back again.

We are very close to some exceptional walks. It is quiet and comfortable accommodation with large garden. The log fire kept us warm in the evenings and together with a glass of wine was wonderful.

It is super close to the mountain Pico do Arieiro (20min driving). I advise you to wake up early to enjoy the sunrise.

Beautiful surroundings, a large cozy and authentically decorated house, and fully equipped. We loved our stay, it was peaceful and the owner came to help us when we experienced an issue, that was much appreciated.

Went to visit family, so I already had an understanding of how remote the house was going to be. It was a brisk 25 minute walk from my relatives house. Keys were in a keylock beside the front door, so no qualms there. Advisable to have a vehicle if not expecting to hike everywhere once crossing the threshold of the house. I was on foot the entire time. Quiet at night, do make sure you've locked the front door properly once inside. A gust of wind opened the door during the night as I hadn't locked it properly and it put the fear of God in me. I'm a light sleeper.
