I really enjoyed the quiet location and the nice walk to a very private beach. The pool was fantastic, but above all, what was incredible for me was that I was able to bring my dogs. They were free to roam on the property and on the quiet road outside. That was the cherry on top for me:)

When you step out of the door of your room you see lovely landscaped plants and lawn. you can't see the ocean, but you can hear it and it really is just a 5 minute walk down an almost unused dirt road. The beach is not crowded at all, just a few folks here and there. We thoroughly enjoyed the motel restaurant. There was much selection and we liked everything we tried. We were there 5 nights and never went anywhere else because the open air atmosphere and food were so good. Breakfast was very tasty too, especially all the fresh fruit! We had a small kitchen in our room, but no microwave. Loved the pool too. Also very peaceful. We would go back in a minute!

It was beautiful! From the first step on the property through the trees, winding down the path to your cabana is so relaxing. We stayed in the Oriental suite with an outdoor kitchen… Awesome.

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua.

The bathrooms are private and have a shower and free toiletries. Best location in the area of La Cruz. Close to the beaches, yet secluded lush paradise. Our second time staying here. You are surrounded by native old trees that attracts wildlife- toucans, parrots, colibri, monkeys every days. It’s so peaceful. This place is a destination on its own. Cabins are very cozy, hot water always with good pressure. Crisp linens. Daily housekeeping. Great breakfast. But most importantly you will be warmly received by the owners. Wonderful people that make you feel at home. For sure will be back and recommending this place to everyone. Internet connection not great for those whose life depends on it.

Highly recommend!!
