My God the piece of land where the property is located is impeccable it’s heavenly with all its greenery, trees and landscape. The bungalows are amazingly built, very clean and the privacy is great due to only having just a few scattered bungalows on such a spacious piece of land. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful which was another plus. Gabriel was amazing, very helpful, very friendly and very welcoming. My girlfriend and I would stay there again without question. There’s no food service but there’s everything in the kitchen to make meals and so many restaurants around in the area.

Wildlife everywhere...stayed 2 nights and saw way more here from porch then saw in the NP ..howler and capuchin monkeys at all times of the day huge iguanas agouti birds butterflies crabs so much to see it was incredible..was the highlight of our trip of 20 days so far .. if you are visiting for wildlife THIS IS DEFINITELY FOR YOU!! DONT HESITATE it was amazing. It's a wooden simple private cabin with a comfy hammoc Cahuita NP next door and in centre of town There is a kitchenette you can access fully stocked ...the fans in room are good enough to keep you cool as well as the bug netting around beds was nice

We liked it so much that we decided to spend our last week in Costa Rica here. It's a beautiful secret place. Sleep in the sounds of the jungle, wake up with the monkeys, saw green macaws, sloth, frogs etc. the kitchen is openspace with the most gorgeous views. Access to the beach is superb, an adventure in itself. The kids love it here. highly recommend for nature lovers. Thank you Congo Bongo for a wonderful holiday.

Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 16 km from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout. This is a solid choice in Cahuita. Alberto the host is a super friendly stand up guy who comes with homemade breakfast every morning and never hesitated to help out and give good advise. He even called the airline for us to talk to them in Spanish when our bag was lost. The houses are simple but clean and cosy. We saw sloths nearby, hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden and heard the howler monkeys all the time. Close to a nice beach that is good for walks in the mornings and also a great restaurant within walking distance.
