Offering garden views, Finca la Bonita, Playa Carate in Carate offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden and a terrace. A patio with mountain views is offered in each unit. Location in the trees of the Costa Rican jungle, perfectly private, outdoor cold (but not too cold) shower under trees. Wildlife in abundance, from howler and spider monkeys in the trees above the cabin; to agoutis, leaf-cutter ants, various lizards and amphibians, crabs below it, plus stunning butterflies, toucans and scarlet macaws - one wonder after another. Christian is a kind, helpful, professional bilingual host, extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, first-class tour guide and able to fix anything. Meals all prepared from fresh ingredients. My favorites were the breakfast fruits and dinners with avocados and freshly-caught fish. All staff was friendly and accommodating. It was the most peaceful, rejuvenating week I've ever had.

This property is beautiful. I loved how it is right by beach, literally from my bungalow to the beach was a 1 minute walk. The rooms are spacious and clean, I loved the large front porch where you can sit outside and enjoy coffee or read and watch all the wildlife. This place is also run by a native tico family, and they make you feel like you are at home. There is a restaurant and bar on the property with great food and drinks!! You can grab a mojito and chill in the hammocks by the beach to watch the amazing sunsets. A little tip I would say is it bring cash because you will need it for boat rides and it’s better to pay for tours and food with cash to save some money on taxes. The WiFi is not the fastest speed but I was able to work completely fine from it. I would definitely recommend staying here, this place is absolutely gorgeous.

Amazonita Ecolodge ligger i Dos Brazos i hjärtat av djungeln, 16 km från Puerto Jimenez. Privat parkering erbjuds utan extra kostnad. Alla boendetyper har en sitthörna. Zephirin has created a paradise at the end of the world, which is nicely taken care of by Zulay and her husband. It is really at the end of any roads and tracks going into the jungle (4WD recommended). But this is what we liked most. We stayed in the last cabin with a huge rain forest behind us. Our cabin was open, though very nice and clean. We could stay endlessly on the terrasse, observing the rain forest with all its animals. Never do a Costa Rica trip without Corcovado and Amazonita Ecolodge!!! It was clearly our highlight (and we have seen a lot other places)!

Every meal was just delicious, and the amount of food is enough for any appetite. Coffee/tea always readily available. Boots, walking sticks and umbrellas also available to everyone. Our party got upgraded from tents to bungalows, as we were the only people checked in for our 3 night stay - something we really appreciated (thank you Raquel!!!). The location is simply breathtaking, and the drive up to the lodge is something out of a movie. Just bear in mind you need a 4x4 vehicle with a high suspension to get there. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating- I cannot thank them enough for how they treated us and made the stay very, very pleasant. We did a hiking tour with Marue (I'm sorry for the spelling if incorrect), which was super special! All-in-all, Luna Lodge is a bucket list stay and a must if staying in this area!

Detta miljöcertifierade boende i rustik stil ligger mitt i en tropisk skog som vetter mot Stilla havet. Här ingår frukost i priserna. Vår guide Alvaro var både kunnig och trevlig. Vi tog både nattturen och grupphalvdagsturen med honom. Vi fick se massor av djur. Vissa* personer i personalen var väldigt serviceinriktade och trevliga.

Chalet at the river's edge ligger i Dos Brazos och erbjuder grillmöjligheter. Denna chalet har en trädgård och gratis privat parkering.
