From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. The highlight of our stay was undeniably our incredible host, who spared no effort in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Quiet, nice and brand new hotel. Stuff is extraordinary kind, the food was brilliant. If I ever meet the owner, i'm going to ask him who planned the bathrooms :) Honestly we had nothing to complain. On top area around the infinty pool was the perfect place to chill after a long day! Make sure you take a tuk tuk to the beach and go swimming with turtles, best expierence during the whole vacation!

The bungalows were very nicely made, with a lot of attention to detail and considering the needs of the guests. We really enjoyed our stay. It was spotless clean and all amenities were super new. There was also a shared kitchen in the garden that we can use. In the morning we were surprised by the size and quality of the breakfast. Owners really do their job with care and love. I would definitely book it again. The location was not right by the Unawatuna Beach but it is easy to access by public or walking. Also, a nice hike to the Jungle Beach.
