We didn't pay too much attention when booking this accommodation, as we just wanted a place to rest for a night after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and before driving to Wellington. What a lovely surprise this place was! I absolutely loved staying here - spacious and clean rooms, a comfortable bed and a covered terrace in front of the apartment. Even though we didn't get to use the kitchen, it was supplied with pretty much all apliences one would need. Some details I appreciated and haven't seen before were the parking spots next to every apartment and the Netflix account the apartment had for guests. The gardens were pretty and well kept. However, I have to admit that what helped tremendously with my experience at the Creel Lodge hotel was the beautiful and incredibly friendly cat that decided to make us his friends and waited for us to wake up the next morning in front of our door.

We had a fantastic relaxing stay, the bed was huge and comfortable, the rooms were huge and so clean. The outdoor private mini thermal baths really sealed the deal for us, the photos do not do the property or these baths justice, it is absolutely fabulous and we found it very romantic - but families or lone travellers would also love it. It was a very central location and we were able to conveniently park and charge our car outside our flat for free. The reception lady was so helpful, she helped us find a compatible car charger as ours didnt seem to fit their outdoor sockets, nothing was a problem for her and her upbeat pleasant attitude started our stay off on the right foot. I truely can't believe this place was as cheap as it was, it's an absolute steal! I would 100% go back and my fiance agrees with me completely. It was one of the highlights of our North New Zealand road trip in terms of lodging.

We cooked our own food and everything we needed for that was available. We loved the privacy and the whole space was just so comfortable I could have stayed for a week!

This lodge has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. Honestly, this is the best booking I've ever experienced. Comes with access to 8 acres of land, homemade bread & cookies, and fresh eggs. The room is lovely and Allie was really nice to introduce us to her sheep and chicken.

The spacious holiday home with a balcony and lake views features 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. Towels and bed linen are provided in the holiday home. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. I like spacious living room area, big backyard, beautiful view scenery from the balcony. Overall an amazing house.

Guests enjoy free WiFi and free breakfast daily. Flying trout boutique lodge is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in the world . We had a lovely suite upstairs with a panoramic view of lake Taupo . Breakfast is wonderful and Karen will insure you are pleased with everything served . Rob is helpful with area info and a few nights he drive us in to town for dinner . We would definitely stay at this charming lodge again - treat yourself if you are in lake Taupo

Relax by the fireplace in the shared lounge, or speak to your hosts about what to see or do in the local area. Whakaipo Lodge was a superb place to stay in every way. The owners, Garth & Angie went beyond the call to make our stay memorable & easy to highly recommend from the welcome, to the pre dinner drinks & canapes, the sharing of local knowledge & the beautifully presented, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was 10/10 using locally sourced high quality products. The coffee also got a gold star.
