We visited the hotel du Leman for 3 nights, and we stayed in one of the family rooms. The main building where the restaurant , the bar, and the reception is located is excellent. It is quite impressive, and you can sit outside for hours enjoying the view. Staff was very polite and always willing to help.
The location was excellent for reaching many of the surrounding areas with lots of free parking, nothing to worry about.
Breakfast was OK with many options but quite common, I have to say. We had a meal at the restaurant. The food was also good.
Our room was quite big, given it was a family room. Cleaness was at high standards.
Overall, we left with a positive impression.

A lovely spot on Lake Geneva with beautiful views.
A lovely spot on Lake Geneva with beautiful views. (I personally think it's the most beautiful place on the whole lake.) It's no wonder that Charlie Chaplin chose to live in this area. When you stay you receive a Riviera Card which gives you free bus travel to places like nearby Montreux, which is also well worth a visit.

Sweet little town close to Montreux.
Sweet little town close to Montreux. Quiet over the weekend with a few interesting sights to visit. Nice lakeside with lots of restaurants and cafes (all closed on Sunday when we visited). Quite a few cute cafes were open in the town though.

Beautiful relaxing little town.
Beautiful relaxing little town. Walked around the waterfront and the old town. Also loved the easy access to Geneva and the small towns around.
I'd probably avoid staying in the area next to the station coz it felt sketchy.
Lots of lovely restaurants and take away places all around

Vevey is a lovely small city on Lake Geneva.
Vevey is a lovely small city on Lake Geneva. It has old cobblestone streets in the historic area, and lovely sidewalks all along the lake. It's a convenient hopping off point for other interesting places to visit and a stone's throw from Chillon Castle.

The city is clean and lively.
The city is clean and lively. But it was full of all these young.men in groups (immigrants) hanging on every corner and particular around the city centre train station, hustling...begging....selling
Really intimidating and disappointing.

We came to Vevey specifically to see the Charlie Chaplin museum/estate, as my wife was a Chaplin/silent film fan since she was a child. Well worth the trip with a full overview of Chaplin's life, family life, movie career, and humanitarian interests. Plan to spend 4-5 hours there.
Best hotel I've stayed for in this price range. The location is right next to the train station and you can walk everywhere in Vevey within a few minutes. The staff was very friendly. The room was very quiet although it was right at the street, the windows were soundproof and the bed was extremely comfy. There was even a bathrobe and enough towels. The hotel was very modern, everything seemed new and unused. There even was a big fridge to store groceries and beverages. I totally recommend this hotel and I will surely be back.
Price was great. Room was small but we didn’t stay in the room and so didn’t mind. Bathroom was small but it was newer and worked great with good water pressure. We walked to and from the train station in about 15 mins. There was a bus that we could’ve taken just outside the hotel. The hotel provided a transportation card that we used for free bus rides. Our favorite things in the area for our short visit - walks along the lake, Charlie’s World (a surprisingly great thing to do), and Chateau de Chillon.
the good side are the superb views but this is risky because it is weather dependent. the location is very remote from vevey and the road is hard.
there is nothing near the hotel. if you don't reserve their expensive restaurant ahead you must drive to the town. this was our case. we paid an expensive room and it was nice. we didn't use the spa. the man at the reception was arrogant and it didn't looked like other leading hotels we stayed in.
we have doubts to recommend this expensive hotel.
the hotel building is beautiful with classic style. You can enjoy stunning scenic view of Geneva lake behind the hotel which can see from hotel restaurant. Reception is very warm welcome, friendly and helpful.a lot of free parking space for who traveling by private car and if you would like to access to Vevey and Montreux, the bus stop just opposite hotel which free travel card for tourist.
Hotel du Leman is a great place to stay for trips to Vevey, Montreux and all the nice places around the gorgeous Geneva Lake. Its location has a breath taking panorama, really unique! The garden offers a green and joyful oasis, the Bar has a good selection of wines from the Region and cool Drinks. To complete the round, breakfast and dinner are served in a cosy and friendly environment.
We have been here many times now. Our experiences have been varied, but we still return because the staff listen to any complaints we have had and deal with them appropriately. The parking in this area of Switzerland is, in our opinions too expensive. The room was just fine and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was not quite as good as last time we came. The hot buffet was limited.
Comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant (our waiter was friendly, helpful and humorous , gym, spa & wellness facilities, Nespresso machine in room. Multilingual staff.
Lovely outdoor seating in front of hotel, with trees & greeneries around. Perfect for an afternoon drink or snack.
Across the train station with a taxi rank
We found the entire stay at Base Vevey to be excellent. modern, clean, fresh, excellent facilities, excellent location and the view from our 4th floor window was perfection, made all the better as coincidentally a dear friend, who recently died, had a personal connection with the hotel and church in view at Mont Pelerin.
Beautiful hotel right on the edge of the lake. We had a deluxe lake view room and it was spacious, comfy and had an incredible view. Food and drinks are good but in line with the luxury status of the hotel it is expensive.
Restaurant was excellent for dinner. The hotel staff were some of the best we have encountered. Everything in the room was so comforting... hard to list all of the details included in the room but we felt so special!
Perfect location for staying in Vevey . Good sized room with everything you need and a very comfortable bed . I’ve stayed here several times before and have never had any complaints. The cleanliness is impeccable.
There were all the facilities we wanted.
It was quite close to the Vevey Station, supermarkets, ATM, and not so far from downtown.
Its rooms were very clean, and its amenities were high quality.
Perfect location, walking distance to the center bus stops and the train station, very kind and helpful staff; hotel is clean
In the sunny days, Could also borrow a bicycle to get around.
It’s clean and near to the train station.
It’s safe for girls who are traveling alone as the main entrance closed at 6:00 PM and only people with code can enter the hotel.
