Absolutely fabulous place. So much history and so much to see. The views are incredible from so many spots. Just loved wandering the streets and finding the little cafes and shops. It’s a challenge in some hilly spots for those of us on the older side but I definitely could see myself living there.

A interesting place with breathtaking but rather scary views. We were surprised at the amount of tourists around as we’d never heard of the place until recommended. 2-3 nights would be enough though and perhaps take in a walk.
Found a fantastic little bar - with spanish guitar and flamenco - open mic. - 15 Arroba. Very friendly staff too.

Provided info to open the key safe for the keys but no mention that there were 2 key safe’s & which was the one to use. Wouldn’t normally be a problem but the police would not let us park the car outside apartment block to even access the key safe
No info on how to exit/enter car park on foot.
Car park very tight turns and small spaces so not for a large car/ SUV without scratching paintwork
No indication that there were 3 staircase’s and we needed “C” which was across the courtyard
On arrival we found that a green glass dish on the kitchen island had a foot missing
The living room shutter was jammed about 30cm up & wouldn’t open or close.
The shutter in bedroom wouldn’t stay open as strap was broken
The corner bath with shower had no shower curtain so bathroom floor would get wet
There was a coffee machine but no pods supplied, we bought pods to find the machine turned on but wouldn’t dispense coffee
There is a hole in the floor by the internal terrace door

If you want to get the best out of Ronda visit attractions...
If you want to get the best out of Ronda visit attractions early in the day as the town gets packed with coach parties from 11 am.
You need 2 nights to get the most out of the city with a day in the old town.
You need to watch out for pickpockets in busy areas they usually work in gangs of 3 men with 2 stopping in front of a person so you can get past them with the third trying to get wallets and pursues the police know this goes on but look the other way so they do not get involved

Ronda is very much worth visiting.
Ronda is very much worth visiting. It has extremely beautiful views and a very interesting history.
But as a well known tourist magnet it is also very touristic. Get up early a clear morning and try to have the views for yourself. When the daily tourist buses arrive from the coast you will have to cruise among large groups of people.
Ronda is actually very much worth staying a few nights. They have excellent hotels, even the not so expensive ones. There are also many good restaurants.

The apartment is spacious, tastefully furnished with kitchenette and a pleasant view of the square. We spent a significant amount of time gaining access to it alongside time spent completing payment. There were language difficulties which took time to resolve. We recommend that the owner looks at simpler ways of receiving payment.
The apartment is a long walk from the town centre and it was very difficult to find. We recommend that the owner gives simple information on its whereabouts alongside the booking confirmation, and with a clear map to assist. We also recommend that payment be made through the Booking.com's website.
Barak Pension and host Anahid are outstanding! We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful pension. Anahid welcomed us like family. The pension is so comfortable and lovingly decorated in traditional Andalusian motifs. We spent 2 nights in comfort. I was not feeling that well and I loved being able to rest but also be so close to explore the gorgrous town of Ronda. We are traveling throughout Spain for a month and this pension and meeting our delightful host will be a cherished memory of our trip! I would give this a 20 if I could!
A lovely large country estate house converted into a hotel. Clean and comfortable, beautiful, very quiet except for birdsong and faraway dogs barking at each other at night. Riding school next door; fun to watch lessons in indoor arena and the occasional horse clopping by (don't worry, no barn smells). Just a few minutes from Ronda. Hot water boiler in room, no fridge or TV. Reached by a single lane paved road, but never met another driver on the road.
My wife and I had a fantastic experience at Casa Palacio VillaZambra in Ronda. After a terrible night's sleep in Cordoba, the hotel exceeded our expectations with its stunning Andalusian architecture, modern amenities, breathtaking views, and attentive staff. The hotel's location in the heart of Ronda made it easy to explore the town's many attractions. We highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Ronda.
We loved this little house, with exceptional views of Arriadh. It’s super near Ronda (10 minutes away by car), and gives you all the peace from nature, but convenience to visit everything in Ronda. The room was perfect. The hotel owners even organised a dinner for all the guests one night, where they cooked typical food from South Spain themselves. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stress-free stay!
Absolutely loved this hotel , location right in middle of Ronda with parking 5 mins from hotel , rooms immaculately clean and very cosy with everything you could need decor of the hotel was great with something to catch your eye in every corner very quirky and decor to match architecture of Ronda
Staff were also very friendly and couldn’t do enough
Loved it
This was maybe the best apartment on our trip through Spain. The location is about perfect and Million dollar views throughout. Couldn't believe we had rented it for mere Euros. Loved walking around the gorge and finding our apartment from different views. Expected small and dingy from the photos but it was clean and spacious.
The bridge, the bridge, the bridge.... great view from patio day and night!. Central location for all the sights. Very walkable area. Rustic charm and character of hotel. Value for the location, but was a splurge for us, compared to other villages with view. Parking a not to bad a walk compared to other old town villages also
Best valued property we stayed out on our Spain holiday. Loved everything. Lovely friendly and helpful staff, quiet and large well featured hotel room. The pool area is brilliant and what a view. Super location basically 200 mtr from the famous gorge and super close to everything. Downhill 15min walk from the train station
This hotel is a bit magical like from the movie. We got a free roo upgrade, which was really nice. The swimming pool was great, spacious and had a lot of shadowed places. The staff was extremely nice too. If it would be cold month I would love to use the SPA because prices were good.
One of the nicest places we have stayed at in Spain. The property had the most beautiful location with views across the valley. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast in the beautiful courtyard garden was delicious. The hosts Lars and Ellen were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Really nice little hotel under the walls of the old city of Ronda, good location, plenty of free parking. Authentic building in Turkish or Arab style, cool swimming pool in the garden view of the horses. 5 minutes by walk and you in the city.
Lovely little boutique hotel with unique blend of antique and modern, great views from the balcony and convenient to the historic centre of Ronda. The staff, and in particular Pablo, were extremely attentive and served a wonderful breakfast.
The hotel is small, but beautifully located in the hills outside Ronda. The view from the room was exquisite. The owner/operators of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Overall a unique experience.
When in Spain, do as the Spanish do: We loved the balcony overlooking the alley below. The apartment was bright, nicely decorated, and was fully equipped. It is located near restaurants and supermarkets.
- A few minutes walking distance to Puente Nuevo and Spain Square Plaza de España
- Low density hotel
- Staff upgraded the hotel view balcony view for us
- Classical design in the hotel
