Everything was wonderful. The room was large and roomy, the bathroom had two sinks which was great and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We loved the entire experience and would definitely return!

A little taste of what it might have felt like to be a part of the French aristocracy. We felt like house guests of the charming Gael and Cecil. Don’t miss Gael’s tour, it truly places the chateau and its environs in historical and modern perspective. All we needed was a hunting outing to make it complete. Comfortable bed, luxuriant bathroom and products, delicious croissant and homemade honey and jams. Close enough to everything but far enough to feel like a true country escape. An easy launching to Chambord, Blois and Amboise.

Beautiful and very quiet small town, unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to enjoy the grounds surrounding this small hotel. The entrance from the street was small but clearly marked with a sign. There was plenty of parking inside the courtyard. Our room was very clean, with a very nice patio door, with a full size "volet" to close for privacy.
The hostess was super friendly with recommendations for good restaurants in town, since many businesses close on Mondays in France !

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds of the chateau with a beautiful scenic views of the countryside. Plenty of outdoor activities and facilities to enjoy the nature. Great for dogs 🐕 , plenty of open spaces and the walks and cycle routes are well signed so you know exactly what path to take.
Lovely hotel for a peaceful break! Would recommend. The service of the staff was excellent

Visiting the castle is an opportunity to learn more about François 1er. He is much more intelligent and visionary than he is portrayed in some TV shows and movies. If you want to know more about Francois 1er, you should complete the trip by visiting Fontainebleau.

Although I had been to Chambord numerous times, I was intrigued by the new presentation by Jacques Garcia. It brings the chateau to life. Before the entry was very austere. The Francois I apartment is more interesting, with a bed more in keeping with the time. There are a lot of interesting touches which reflect the lifestyle at the time such as the bed used for travel (from the period) and also the camp bed in the bedroom which would have been used by a manservant. My friends were impressed by the new kitchen section (kitchens don't interest me!).
Absolutely incredible hotel!! Everywhere you look, inside and out, is beautiful, gorgeous, and inspirational. The proprietor and the hotel worker were both so helpful, charming, and informational. Do you want to eat an incredible breakfast in a room with wood beams painted in 1620? Do you want to wake up in a high-ceilinged room and look out at a gorgeous river, traversed by an Eiffel bridge? Do you want to drink champagne while looking over a noble grass lawn that slopes toward Chambord? Don’t miss out on this sensational hotel!!

Beautiful well preserved chateau, amazing historical significance, very clean, delicious daily french breakfast included in the price, very comfortable beds. The chateau owner and staff very friendly and attentive to all your needs ensuring you have the best possible time. I can’t wait to come back and bring my teenage boys. Central location close to the most popular tourist attractions. Because of this very special property, the Loire Valley will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.
The property was in an outstanding location next to the Château de Chambord. The castle is worth visiting and going around the grounds.
The service was very good and the food was splendid both for breakfast and dinner, albeit quite expensive (watch out for additional VAT for wine, which will be included in your final bill not in the bill at the end of the meal, if you are staying in Relais.
The spa was nice but small.
The hosts are amazing-friendly, welcoming and rightfully enthusiastic about their special home. It is exceptional in every way. Beautifully maintained, thoughtfully decorated and the grounds were bucolic and steeped in history. Peaceful and yet centrally located to see the sites of the Loire Valley. It was full of wonder in every way. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was delicious as well.
What an outstanding place, we enjoyed staying at Chateau des Grotteaux Près Chambord. The place is tastefully decorated, with a lot of details. The grounds are well kept with a swimming pool and Eiffel bridge, nice touch! The services were impeccable. The owners are very pleasant and informative. Overall, we will definitely recommend this place!
The BEST location overlooking Chateau Chambord. Lovely property, very luxurious. Breakfast v good , hot and cold buffet options. The hotel restaurant also has a bar and beautiful terrace overlooking the chateau - magical views.
The staff were very good - we had a great young man- Neman(?) originally from Madagascar, who was really helpful.
Location, right in front of the Castle of Chambord, is amazing. It is impossible not enjoy the view of the gardens and the castle all day long. Also, walking around the gardens at night is extremely pleasant. The spa is included and is also very nice, with a jacuzzi outdoors.
You can't beat the location - with Chambord next to it. Dinner and breakfast take your breath away.
River view room is probably the best value for money. Barge is overrated IMHO and Castle View rooms might have a huge tree covering the view. Don't go for courtyard.
The staff is very welcoming. The room was a bit small but perfectly clean and very comfortable. The place is by the Chambord castle inside a huge domain. It’s really relaxing to walk around and sleep in such a quiet place.
it’s an incredible place! The French government, who set up the whole village and the hotel around the castle, thought of everything. The castle itself is very close and the history is amazing.
Perfect location with a spectacular view of Chambord Castle! Cozy room, super nice and friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere and very good spa salon (booking in advance is recommended).
