A comfortable hotel with secure bicycle storage for long-distance cyclists riding the Velodyssee Euro Velo cycle route. The buffet breakfast is excellent and of good quality. Close to restaurants and all amenities the hotel is an ideal stop-over and highly recommended. We have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would certainly stay again.

L'envie is a cluster of individual units aaround a good sized swimmig pool. The units have been built to a very high standard with luxury touches everywhere (at least if ours is anything to go by). Everything is encolsed behind security gates, opened by a code, so you can park your car (or in our case bicycles) safely. Our hosts gave us a great welcome and the breakfast they provided was delicious. Recommended.

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the last 20-odd years but never stayed here until now. It was a superb choice: close to the cycle route, 15 mins from three excellent bakeries and one minute from the promenade. There’s a good choice of restaurants, ice cream parlours, kiosks and bars within 5-6 minutes’ walk and the two towns just a bit further in the other direction.
I would recommend the area to anyone: there are activities for the whole family, for beach fans or people looking for cultural days out. It’s worth going just for the food but the scenery is spectacular with some fantastic sunsets. The weather is changeable but all you need is decent clothing. Top tip: visit Boulangerie Bleue in Saint Gilles for superb bread and some interesting desserts!

The town is blessed with so many fantastic places to see.
The town is blessed with so many fantastic places to see. Markets are a big part of visiting there along as the most beautiful long sandy beach with free parking! The harbour and back streets are not to be forgotten for the evening stroll especially the promenade....after a meal along the front overlooking the beach...just beautiful....can't wait to go back....

The location and the resort was fantastic. 5 min walk to the beach, short drive to the supermarket and town. Walking distance to the beach side restaurants. The pools were lovely and clean and warm. Our maisonette could have been cleaner and also not that comfortable to just lounge around as only one very small sofa for 4 people. Regardless of this we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return despite these small issues.
Everything
It is a delightful and very well appointed, with a beautifully decorated seaside feel.
Excellent location for the beach, restaurants and coffee shops and the town, markets ,shops and restaurants.
Ten minutes walk to both.
It could accommodate a family with small children especially if you like the beach.
Walks and cycling on the doorstep
Off street parking, essential when high season.
This hotel has a fantastic location right in the market square. There is secure underground parking right underneath the hotel. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, coming down into the car park when we were unsure where to leave our bike.
The room and bathroom were clean and fairly spacious, and we received new towels on each night of our stay.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with the rooms set around a courtyard. The owner is very helpful and mans the courtyard bar as needed by guests. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet included fantastic homemade bread and Vendee cake.
The hotel room was very clean. the hotel location just one block for a beautiful sand beach with great restaurants was great. The young man at the reception desk was particularly welcoming (efficient, warm and relax). He spoke English well.
