Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours...
Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours. There are plenty of shops and restaurants but we did not find any outstandingly good. It came to life on the Tuesday with a very large market which occupies several streets and squares in the town. The bars were full and the atmosphere was lively.

Nice little town, lots of interesting shops and restaurants, everything very close by, small independent shops and supermarkets, hardware stores garages and the like, touristy but obviously popular with locals as well.

Great place for a stopover, lots of boating activity, great quayside restaurants and a visit to nearby " Brehat " island is a must. Very accessible by car with many other lovely resorts worth visiting

We booked the contemporary comfort rooms and our friends were upgraded to the superior room adjoining ours (21) which was excellent. The buffet breakfast was good, everything lovely and fresh. We ate in one of their restaurants, lovely meal, they even placed a candle on my fiends dessert as it was her birthday. All the staff in both hotel, restaurant and bar were helpful and friendly.

It is “downtown” so noisier at night. Well worth exploring the coastal walking route GR34, north & south from the town. Treguier easy bus ride (though not frequent). You can rent an e-bike from Haute Keranos hotel, about a mile out of town.
