The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax and make yourself feel at home. The shared kitchen area was also a lovely addition to our stay. We had a roast dinner at the pub and that was excellent too.

Beautiful hotel with lovely features from original building. Blok restaurant was superb! Food was absolutely delicious. Hotel knew it was our anniversary, we had a lovely card and cake waiting for us in our room which was very kind and a lovely gesture.

Wasn't expecting too much from staying at a Wetherspoons but it was cheap and was in the right location...how wrong was I?! It was better than the usual well known travel hotels which are twice the price. A/c actually worked, room was huge, comfortable and clean bed, lovely bath with rainfall shower. Staff were excellent as well (as they usually are at 'Spoons'.)
Will definitely be using them again.
This charming Grade II Listed building is situated 5 minutes from the M4. It is thought to have been a gift from Queen Elizabeth I to the Earl of Leicester.
