A small town by the side of the Lancaster Canal, Garstang has a good selection of pub/restaurants a small shopping precinct and a thriving high street. There are a selection of good walks and there is a regular bus connection to Preston, Lancaster and Morecambe. Thouroughly worth a visit.

Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast (scrambled egg would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame!). Convenient location for M6. Almost exactly half way between St Andrews and London. Extremely quiet. Easy, plentiful parking in hotel's car park. Well appointed, spacious room. Garstang is a small market town, within easy reach of Morecambe bay, Lake District and the Peninnes. The town does not have major stores but a very good selection of local businesses which adds to its charm. There are a range of pleasant rural walks in the area. Garstang is a lovely town on the outskirts of Preston. It has some lovely independent shops and plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. The people we met while out and about were lovely and will definitely return.

Garstang is a beautiful little place, it's perfect for ramblers and business people as its on a main trunk road to lancaster/ blackpool and Preston. Its also in countryside so walkers are welcome and Garstang is just one of lots of villages with Cabus,Forton and others within good walking distance. It's a friendly place I would certainly recommend to others.
