A combination of a lot of things, the history, the beach, the pubs , the location... these are all good things. Wetherspoons and the little Angel pub are favourites of ours. A last minute trip to Whitby for Goth Weekend. Absolutely fabulous and our lovely accommodation made it all the more worthwhile. Beautiful fishing town, very friendly locals and lots of quirky shops and great places to eat.

We love Whitby and keep coming back. Of course there is the link for Goth and Steampunk weekends, our main reason for revisiting, but the town, sites, people and the Abbey are there all year round - well worth a visit at any time of year. Whitby is our favourite place & we go several times a year. There are some lovely eating places, bars & coffee shops {the flat white coffee in Coopers is the best). Getting around is slightly difficult for me as I am in a wheelchair so we just have to plan our days but apart from that its great.Sarah HartleyUnited Kingdom

The noise from the pub below did not bother us in the slightest, the bar staff are lovely and the pub has a great atmosphere! The room was small but clean & the bed was comfy. There is a private car park at the back of the building which is a rarity in Whitby! I will definitely book the Buck again, thanks for a great weekend!
