Stanneylands was an amazing building full of character and set in a quiet peaceful location with ample parking (free). The room was a good double, but just a little tight on room space. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom/toilet all worked well. Breakfast was amazing - worth paying for - because in addition to all the self-service Continental fruits, salads, cereals, drinks, toasts etc, there was a hot plate which was cooked to your order. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful - the whole ethos of Stanneylands was refreshingly guest goodly.

Alma Lodge Hotel is conveniently located to access the peaks, Stockport/Manchester and the airport really easily. My sister and I stayed here after a holiday. The staff responded quickly to any queries we had and were really friendly. Our flight was delayed so we were unable to check in until after 1am. There was someone on the desk to meet us and was very patient with two very tired travellers! The room was really clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Alma Lodge
De Trafford By Greene King Inns is in Alderley village, just a 5-minute walk from Alderley Edge Train Station and about 5 miles from Manchester Airport. All bedrooms were refurbished in 2015.

Friendliness and courteous staff. Very handy for the airport. Generally the food was very good, only one criticism was that my wife's breakfast of avocado and poached egg was undercooked and the bread was soggy.

On arrival I had twin room booked , stated on app that we would arrive following day between 00:00 to 1:00. Hotel gave our room away and offered a double bed to us. This was not appropriate as and left me furious. Have since contacted hotel with no response. They made no effort on the night to sort situation. I paid for a twin room and expected to receive it on arrival. Instead I ended up sleeping on floor and believe I should be compensated for such a poor experience. I would expect the hotel make some effort to at least reimburse half the fair of the room as a result. To say I’m furious is an understatement

Nice town with some very good restaurants - we recommend Eastern Revived restaurant which gets very busy so advise to book. Excellent train link into central Manchester - the duo ticket was just £12.30 return for the two of us.

The location is ok to travel to Manchester airport.
The location is ok to travel to Manchester airport.
WiFi and use of the pool were both extra charges.
We would not stay again if were traveling to the UK and Manchester airport.
The hotel is dated and needs a clean up around the rooms and outside was dirty looking. Some of the carpark was closed off so the taxis were having to turn around and squeeze back out the way they came in with the other the traffic..?🙄
The location of the bar right next to the reception area wasn't the best, for eating and drinking while the doors kept opening and closing..

Been through this answer before did not really have any opinion because of the short stay but what I saw was not. Impressive. I should start by stating it did have a lift but rest of Hotel left Much to be desired was old and needed. A facelift, neesa couple of vending machines which do not eat your money. . Pillows too small beds not too comfortable. My view was not good.. Overall. The best thing about the stay was the English breakfast in the morning. Staff was helpful but the lobby Had limited vending machines which ate my money. The other option was the bar and it was only open for short hours during the day to sell sweets etc.
would suggest a small store near check in to handle candy and perhaps some soft drinks . facility seemed dated and could use a good face lift. .Location not the most. Ideal for airport acces

Our waitress was brilliant, on the go constantly, she had to be, she was the only one on duty! The food was ok, the beer was unimaginative
It really got up my nose that I had to pay overnight parking, in a very narrow bay! The whole hotel seemed a bit run-down, but there will be no improvement, I’d imagine, as guests are only after a bed for the night before a flight.
I left it to the last minute to book due to a weather change, I’ll book (elsewhere) earlier next time.

Nice farmhouse, close to the airport and with lovely breakfast. We stayed there only one night but the owners let me work remotely in a room close to the kitchen after the check-out. Very kind of them!
Only annoyance was a lady next to our room who checked-in at 2am and woke us up talking loudly and slamming the door - the walls are quite thin, I think, or she was simply acting disrespectfully.
Except this episode, it was a good value for money.
Booking.com over booked the hotel and by the time we got there there was no room available for us at midnight. We are incredibly disappointed with your service. After flying 4hrs we have now to drive 4.5 hours to Scotland. I will not be back and I will make it clear to all my friends, family, colleagues and anyone else I speak to that your company can not be relayed upon
The staff are older are friendly and have been there a long time. The wifi was good. The location is rural and very green. The building is a mish mash of centuries from 16th C to 1980's/90's. Bathrooms clean & do tidy/clean room daily. Big plus since after Covid hotels have cut costs by not cleaning rooms or filling up teas/milk etc unless you ask them i.e. Premier Inn.
The hotel was clean and the public areas such as the restaurant bar and lounge area are all modern and stylish. The staff were all friendly and efficient however the check in desk wasn’t always manned and you had to go hunting round for a member of staff to answer your queries at times. Having said that the staff were always helpful
Great location for the airport..breakfast was more than enough and great food too. The room we had was clean and comfy bed ..sky tv too !! Paid 88 pounds which was cheap for this kind of hotel. Would without doubt stay here again when flying from Manchester...10 out of 10
Location to Manchester airport. lovely well kept hotel, including outside areas. great ambiance in the restaurant and bar areas. very clean room, getting space. Food in the restaurant was very good, as was the buffet breakfast in the morning. Will definitely return.
As a host Eileen was lovely. The property is clean, warm and inviting. It is located in a quiet location on the edge of Wilmslow, close to beautiful open country yet also only a 15-20 minute walk from the town centre.
One of the cheaper hotels in the area, easy to find and plenty of parking (£5 a night). The pool was good, but there's an extra charge for it. Room was comfortable enough.
Breakfast was decent.
I stayed here as I had a layover in Manchester before heading back to the states. I was at the hotel for less than 12 hours. During my time everyone was so, so helpful and the food was delicious.
The lodge is directly behind the pub and is very convenient for Wilmslow. We had a lovely big room which had just been renovated. The bathroom was spotless
The property manager was very friendly and so helpful. It was great that the pub was in the same space as the hotel so we could get food and drinks easily.
