Exceptionally clean and rather quiet. The staff is polite and very helpful, most of them are young and speak fluent English. The hotel is warm enough, bathrooms a bit warmer than rooms. You can choose from a variety of food at both breakfast and dinner. All the cooked food is warm and delicious. Three kinds of juice are available at breakfast, together with cold and warm milk, tea, water and a wide range of coffee. Both breakfast and dinner include several desserts.

Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary.
Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary. Gyula it’s beatiful, in the autumn you can make great photos. I’ve found very neat and cozy restsurants such as Varkonyi bistro, was always full with guests, the food was very tasty, serving 1st class. They have a cookie shop named The 100 years old cookie shop, but was under renovation who knows till when, that was bit sad, I always visit it.

Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days.
Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days. I can say that it was nice but seems like they try to charge you for everything:
* 1.5 EUR/person city tax;
* parking near Aquapark about 8 EUR/day Monday-Sunday.
Food & drinks pricy compared to similar Aquaparks (Szeget, Mako, Timisoara).
Long waiting time at restaurant queue (restaurants with no waiters or waitresses).
Very crowdy at the hot thermal water pools.

A great small town with fantastic spa and the second oldest cukraszda in Hungary but first in taste to money ratio.
Dobos torta and Chokolate Mousse is a must. But not together please...
Gyulai famous kolbasz and Bekes palinka finish it all.
Enjoy!
Last but not least the castle and the small picturesque streets close to Varfuerdo.
I keep on coming there as you could understand.

Almássy Kastély and the Castle were fantastic, in autumn the colours are beautiful in the beautiful parks. Százéves Cukrészda is a place to go, more than 100 years old cake shop with extraordinary cakes and hand made chocolate.
Host is very pleasant, he quickly explained all and introduce us to Gyulai spa and city. The location is really excellent, although that is maybe hard to notice on the map. There is a backyard door that you can use to quickly enter the park with the castle and spa-aqua park. Good for families with 1 or 2 kids. Recommendation!
Very nice hotel, in the heart of Gyula. The rooms are spacious, very nice decorated, all very clean. The bathroom is provided with toiletries, hairdryer and it's spacious and clean.
There is a Komló restaurant too, where the guests cand have breakfast (and lunch or dinner). They serve a very tasty breakfast!
Very nice apartment, quiet and central, in walking distance to the aquapark. The room was very clean and nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. Miss Ilona was very friendly even with the language barrier. Internet is fast, restaurants and supermarkets are reachable by foot.
Everything was OK. The rooms, the kitchen, the bathroom and the yard was extralarge and very clean. The rooms have air conditioner(we stayed in Gyula in a very hot period). The location is in a quiet area.
Lidl is about 10 minutes distance(to walk), and Gyula Varfurdo is about 5 minutes.
The host is very nice and super friendly. It is really easy to communicate with.
The location is superb, the apartment is located very close to the aquapark.
There is free parking on the street near the location.
The accommodation is suitable for a family having separate bedrooms.
Very nice new / modern clean appartments, good typical breakfast, very supportive staff. There is a wellness area attached which is a nice plus, but unfortunately had no time to try out. Location is great, close to the castle and the spa. Visiting Almásy Castle nearby is a must.
Proximity to the castle, easy access to the thermal baths, hotel facilities, room and bed comfortable, dinner and breakfast options (after 2nd day), some reception staff and especially the wellness centre staff. Kids entertainment, kids play room look amazing
Very good facility, includes the wellness with pool,sauna and also play rooms for children. Food in the restaurant is diverse and taste good. Surrounding area of the hotel is nice,quite. Good place for relaxing with children.
