Upon walking in the place had an "Olde Worlde" feel which I tend to like - lots of pics on the wall from the hotel in days gone by, and generally an air of 70's charm. However, as we walked to our room there were child's drawings blu-tacked to the wall, and there was a child kicking a football in the hallway. It became clear that we were staying in a direct-provision center. The trip went downhill from there.

Location right by the river, plenty of parking at the rear. Room very good, tea/coffee in room. Big bathroom. Shame we didn’t have a river view, but otherwise fine, would stay again,.

I enjoyed a really wonderful stay here. The property is kept in immaculate condition and my room was extremely comfortable. The location is really very convenient and I was made to feel really welcome. The guest lounge was filled with interesting memorabilia and objects but more importantly was very inviting as well. There was a great selection of breakfast and I tried a few different ones during my stay, each as brilliant as the other. The place is so fantastic that I met repeat guests and must admit that I was also recommended this place by friends/colleagues and I was certainly not disappointed.
