Exceptional stay that provided everything we required. Once we worked out the bus system to the city (bus 15/15A) we were able to park the car for all our stay. A warm welcome provided and helpful tips provided on arrival. Certainly recommend staying at St Aiden's rather than in the hectic city environment of Dublin. Access to a kitchenette and unexpected breakfast was greatly appreciated.

The RIU Gresham Hotel was perfectly located for all activities around Dublin City. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and clean. I would stay at The Gresham Hotel again.

Everything was fantastic. We arrived late after being extremely disappointed with another hotel very near this wonderful place and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. A really really nice experience. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name who was on the desk on the night but he is an absolute credit to your hotel!
With panoramic views across Dublin Port, The Gibson Hotel is next to the 3Arena. It boasts bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a 24-hour gym, a fine restaurant, and secure private parking.

I have stayed maybe 5/6 times in the Gibson hotel and have had a great stay on every occasion. Staff are consistently welcoming, warm, friendly and very helpful. The hotel always feels safe and secure. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and the showers amazing. The Rituals shower gel/shampoos range etc are a welcome addition.
Food and atmosphere in both the restaurant and bar is always great and the service is friendly and efficient.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff involved in this stay for making my daughters 16th birthday extra special for the Mitski gig. Our room was upgraded and was set out amazingly with a birthday balloon and card from the hotel. She really appreciated the unexpected extras included. We are already booked to stay again in August for the TV Girl gig. 😍

I liked that the village was very walkable and I could even walk to and from Dublin City Centre from there ( a long walk if you are not a frequent walker). Rathgar itself had a lovely bookstore, an awesome antiques shop, conveniences and welcoming pubs. I recommend Brady's (a 10 minute walk from my guesthouse), and The 108, which was a 5 minute walk for me. Both these pubs had very good food and atmosphere.

Will we stay again?
Will we stay again? Probably but maybe only for 1-2 nights maximum, and not 5.
Lets face it , dublin is expensive. You cant ask for 5star, yet it was disasspointing to not have the room cleaned half the time and that you had to ask for room cleaning ( something you only know once you are in the room ).
There is no staff, it is unmanned; there is a sink in the room not in the toilet; the room is small . This we knew beforehand , so zero complaints there.
The TV, only a few local channels worked, but we werent there to watch tv anyway.
The ammenities were good and fair and the bed was good. Staff over the phone was helpful.

Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre.
Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre. Good local cafes, bars, restaurants & shops + short walk or bus to Terenure or Rathmines for more choice.
City centre is only quick bus journey, (use a leep card to save money) away for tourist destinations & night life.

Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well...
Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well located. A few minor issues, the numbers on the press pad on the front door were difficult to see, there was stale water in the kettle and the coffee machine and there was not enough towels. Parking was on a first come basis butI was too late to get it. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and I would have no hesitation reccomding no 9 as a good place to stay
The location is within easy walking distance of busses to Dublin City Center. A supermarket, cafe, deli and pharmacy are also nearby. The location is quiet. It is a residential street but near to the village and a bus ride to downtown. The breakfast is not a full meal, yet, access to a small kitchenette that is actually well stocked with basics was all that was needed for a quick bite in the morning. The Fat Cat Cafe, a short walk away, is a great place for breakfast.
Guest House is in a central residential location. Compact clean room with excellent shower in a small but well equipped en suite. Helpful, friendly owner. Despite the fact that breakfast was not included, you could serve yourself from a well stocked kitchenette with cereals, milk, orange juice and tea/ coffee facilities ( in addition to tea/ coffee and kettle in bedroom.) I will stay here again!
Location was in a nice quiet, suburb in south Dublin. Frequent bus service into Dublin centre only 4 min walk from guesthouse. Or you could walk to centre in about 50 min. Several restaurants nearby.Self serve breakfast, mainly cereals, bread and fruit, but also eggs and misc stuff in the fridge. Microwave, stove and fridge. Coffee and tea. Lovely, bright front room to eat and relax in.
Location--close to Dublin City Center. Very easy to take a bus to Dublin. Freedom to come and go--access codes allow you to get in and out of the hotel and your room. You don't need to worry about a key. Neighborhood--cute neighborhood with pubs and grocery stores within walking distance. Several nights we went to the grocery store for wine and food to eat in the communal lounge.
Great house to stop in - clean, comfortable and a little shared kitchenette to make yourself breakfast or some toast/ light snack in the evening.
Would be perfect as a base if you were stopping for a good few days in Dublin or for a gang of you for a wedding or other event.
Owner and staff lovely and very helpful.
Alan made us feel very welcome and had thought of everything to settle us in . Very good information on local restaurants, supermarkets and an easy bus ride into the centre of Dublin. Rathgar is a very safe and lovely suburb and very quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.
I’ve stayed here several times. Each time I receive a warm welcome and have a very comfortable stay. It’s a lovely house with excellent attention to detail. Breakfast foods in the kitchenette was a nice touch.
Warm hospitality and lots of valuable shared services at the guest house. Room was right size for our family.
Lovely neighbourhood with good options for food and coffee.
There was good communication between the hotel and me. The room was nice and comfortable. The location was nice and in easy walking distance of a grocery and food.
Location was spot on for where we wanted to be. Hotel was quiet relaxing. Rathgar is a really nice suburb in Dublin and it is easy to get Into the city from there.
Very clean, warm, very friendly and helpful staff, close to bus station, bars and grocery stores. Very good price compared to similar properties in Dublin.
