We booked this Place for 3 nights. The day we were to check in we got a call from the manager Mr Bunty to ask about our ETA and if we needed help with directions. It was so nice of him to do so. We have stayed at so many different properties but never did anyone enquire if we needed directions to get to the resort. We followed the map and reached the Resort without any issues. The moment we stepped out of the car we fell in Love with the place. The view was mesmerizing. And the infinity pool was very inviting. The check-in process was smooth. We were offered a welcome drink which was very refreshing. We had booked a mountain facing room. The room was big enough with a double bed, small table and 2 chairs, side tables, TV, fan, side lamps and reading lamps, a single door wardrobe with a locker and suitcase rack. It had an ensuite bathroom with 24 hrs hot water and toiletries. Each room had it's own table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view while sipping on some garam chai or coffee and enjoying the song of birds specially the peacocks. The staff is very pleasant and Mr Bunty sees to it that all his guests are comfortable. He is very nice to talk to and a cheerful person. They have a restaurant indoors and outdoors but we preferred sitting outside as the view was awesome and the place is so peaceful. The food too is very tasty and quantity is good and price is reasonable. Breakfast is very filling and very generous quantity that we couldn't finish everything. Each day the breakfast was different. They also have a bonfire on request. And indoor games like carrom, snakes n ladders, ludo, crosswords and outdoor games like badminton and football. The property can be enjoyed by all age groups. Since the property is to the end it's very peaceful. You can't even hear the sound of traffic. You can take a tour by your self of the property. They have 3 cute looking Alsatians who are very alert.

The location was awesome, the host spent decent time with all the guests by conducting games, efforts on taking us to the coffee tours and couple.private streams, camp fires, music, all was good in the middle of the coffee estate. The location was very pleasant and the telescope was available to watch the moon from the terrace, this estate was at least 100 years old and well maintained, all other staff were super friendly. Had decent wifi all the time. If you want to get lost in the woods, come here. bhadra tiger reserve is around 15 mins in car and have maladhur shootimg spot and sunset view points, just njoy the locations and games for kids available in th property, my 9 years old son liked the property very much as he won the coffee pack in the housy game hosted by Ryan with the sarbath in th hand. I would strongly recommend trying this once, they do have other properties called Writers Retreat, this is even super kool property behind this.

Food is exceptional. The food served by the hostess is far too good compared to any other food that I ate during my tour of Karnataka. The food including the masalas are freshly prepared. We had the fish curry for lunch and green chicken curry for dinner. Spice levels are on the higher side so if you are averse to spicy food you will have to ask the hostess to tone it down. I highly recommend that you try these homecooked meals at least once if not everyday (time permitting). The homestay itself is a 1960's house with Koba style floor and evokes the looks of days gone by. It has Manglorian tile roof and 2 rooms with verandah. There is also an attic for dorm style sleeping accommodating upto 8 above. The property is about 7 km from Chikmagalur proper so if you intend to eat outside plan it in advance. Since the property has its own mini coffee plantation it is nice and cozy.
